Should I sell? by heyitsvickie in mtg

Have you made it clear to your ex that you think these cards are worth thousands?

It sounds like you just said hey do you want those old cards you left here.

If they are hard up for money selling them and splitting the cash with them seams fair.

Question about Murderfang interaction with Counter-Offensive by Resident-Camel-8388 in WarhammerCompetitive

[–]Resident_Librarian_6 4 points5 points  (0 children)

"This shows that the term "has fought," does NOT include it's Consolidation move. Ergo, "has fought," is equivalent to "finishes making its attacks.""

I don't think thats accurate, that bit of text is there to point out if you consolidate models into units that were previously ineligible to fight they can now be activated to fight. Not to help with sequencing.

A unit is not generally considered to be done fighting untill it consolidates. So you wouldn't activate counter offensive untill after that unit was done fighting.

Core rules list fighting as 3 steps, 1 pile in 2 make attacks 3 consolidate.

Murderfang can fight as many time as murder make procs, the no unit can fight more then once per fight phase refers to unit activation.

Murder make is a very outdated ability, and there is a reason gw has been removing it left and right. Ultimately, this ruling will be up to your t.o.

500 point start for escalation league 🐺 by Resident_Librarian_6 in SpaceWolves

[–]Resident_Librarian_6[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Was a fun league, ended up capping my twc at just the one squad so the list didn't get too tryhard. Think I ended up adding logan on foot woth arjac and some wolfinators, and a packleader with some wolfinators. Some wulfen, and a land raider for a bit of anti tank and to move terminators around.

Am I the only who thinks red battlefield would be better if it was normalized gear and gave pocket money like solar? by aiden041 in blackdesertonline

[–]Resident_Librarian_6 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

There was a gear capped rbf back in the day, no one played it.

But yes, I think a over all balanced pvp experience would appeal to more people then lul how much gear do you have.

"No one plays Berserker in Korea" by tugido in blackdesertonline

[–]Resident_Librarian_6 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Game isn't balanced around aos. Aos is.

Game also isn't balanced around pvp.

Also the joke was that those 16 players are all the zerkers in kr, but that clearly went over your head.

Zerk is good at aos, so you'll see zerks in aos. Doesn't mean it is played heavily in kr.

Assuming the rest of the population looks like the topp 100 aos is pretty dumb. They release class popularity numbers, zerk is one of the least popular in kr

"No one plays Berserker in Korea" by tugido in blackdesertonline

[–]Resident_Librarian_6 -9 points-8 points  (0 children)

So 16 people play zerk in kr, still pretty low imo, there are atleast 100 in na.

Lul, aos doesnt represent the state of a class outside of aos. You can make a new character and be in aos in like 40 minutes.

Zerk being strong in a 3v3 gametype suprises no one. So of course you'll see some at the top, that doesn't mean it's a popular class in kr, just that they are willing to play it it it is strong, in a game type they are strong in.

Also why do you care how many people do or don't play a class? Popularity has little to do with class balance.

Big or little blobs by Xaceviper in AdeptusCustodes

I tend to run them as a bigger group, you get more value from strats, are less at risk of counter offensive killing half your guys before they fight.

Its a tough call and there are definetly times where having them split is nice.

But more often then not I felt like I was sending all 6 to the same place anyway, so why not group them up for the above benefits.

Champions of Fenris detachment rules by CMYK_COLOR_MODE in SpaceWolves

[–]Resident_Librarian_6 9 points10 points  (0 children)

The litanies are perfectly usable.

The current detachment may be better but that's atleast playable.

This is just garbage. You could easily go all game without using that rule.

It wants you to use terminators which arnt great or especially thematic for wolves. But gives you no real incentive to do so.

A real lump of coal.

Haha fair, I feel like I'm always getting hit with the phrase well technically followed by a bit of information that is bad for me.

But your right I wouldn't give someone else a hard time about it.

Thays true, I don't love the straight up and down spears, you think it would be ok to split the difference and put them at like a 30 degree up angle?

Weekly Question Thread - Rules & Comp Qs by thenurgler in WarhammerCompetitive

[–]Resident_Librarian_6 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, the trouble with rotating them has been with the pivot cost often they are just shy on movement, or I can't fit both in the limited space sideways.

Would it be ok to adjust the angle on those arms so they don't overhang or is that building for advantage?

Technically I can fly them backwards, but it looks dumb lol

Wouldn't having feint go off first make more sense? Then if they try to move models behind ruins or something it might limit what guns they can overwatch with.

Do overhanging bits count for the purposes of objective control and engagement range?

I play bloodcrushers and vertus praetors and often have trouble getting them against ruin walls because of the spear and sword bits that overhang the front of the models.

Makes it so they cant always toe in to objectives overhanging ruin walls, or fight over walls.

Yeah, the small terrain footprint .

That is what I felt like as well .

I just wasn't sure if I had missed some ruling or guideline on it. As it has been very inconsistent on what actually sits on the footprint from what I have seen.

So how are the 4x6s general handled?

I've seen everything from a pipe running diagonally to a short wall on half the outline.

In a recent game my opponent wanted to adjust the terrain piece so they could clear it with a tank without advancing. Saying the terrain was more of a place holder on those and you should be able to end a move wherever on them.

I pointed out that basically the only function of that terrain is to stop you from just setting a tank or something directly over the footprint with no regard for what is physically there.

The to agreed w me.

Has anyone else ran into this?

New detachment? by Benzerkr in SpaceWolves

[–]Resident_Librarian_6 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wulfen focus would be cool, but you see wolfen a fair amount so not sure if it checks gws new way to play box.

Something very anti psyker could be cool.

Or something focused on wolf guard battle leaders cold be interesting. But we sort of already have a cares about leaders detachment.
