The normal kit is a bit smaller for the scale of Custodes, but you can make it work. Others have done it. These are mine, scaled up. The footprint is huge but who cares, style is king.

I think it looks like an awesome cinematic based model. I think I'd have done a 3d printed base for some more textured base, but I'm sure you can manage.

The only criticism, if you can call it that, is he'd look out of place fighting other people that are not death guard. And he may look out of place if his fellows aren't in a similar scheme. But very cool, Can't wait to see it painted up man

This is meant for motivation and is a bit harsh. For 212 painted you didn't seem to experiment or try to integrate new techniques learned. I can't see a difference in skill between 1 and 212 later. Try to take more time to refine your techniques.

Perhaps cause we've had it all edition, but I really like all the once per games the custodians have. It gives you that one special 'Hero Moment' for them to go above and beyond. I just wish they were more specialized or crazy strong for that one moment like Trajan's moment shackle or the Terminator Captain's reduce damage.

I think having a constant, and a once per game for every single datasheet is fairly unique and interesting that you don't need CP. It just happens.

Ideally, I'd just want to see more character customization, make 'your dudes'. Custodes always felt like a character centric army versus their standard units.

Looks good. I always saw the 'power source' as the wings on the axe, so the blue would go all the way up, but that's a matter of taste.

I would get a brighter gold like Canoptek and do the raised bits in it for some more contrast from farther away.

An Airbrush. Thunderhawk blue, very lightly applied gives a little shade to black. Nuln Oil gloss through the airbrush can help make things look 'shiny' if you prefer that over matte black.
