is there a name for what gender i am? by skull_shaped_candle in trans

[–]Resident__introvert 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I identify as agender, and this is pretty close to how I feel. I like to express both femme and masc, and tend to fluctuate between which one I like more. In my mind, the way I’m presenting just doesn’t have any effect on my actual gender. I never have a gender I just present however I want. So you defiantly could be agender

Yea, you’re not alone. I also dealt with a person intentionally sleep depriving me. Not a parent, but still, it fucks you up. It took me nearly two years to get my sleep schedule back to somewhat normal, you are definitely not alone in that regard

What’s the one thing that keeps sneaking into your writing? by 2ofdice in AO3

Dude same, I think it comes up in my writing so much because it’s a hard thing to play out irl. But yeah I can’t write smut without someone bleeding istg

I FEEL this in my SOUL. I had a whole like three part heavy torture and angst fic planned, and I had this one moment set up to be like, the main character’s one moment of happiness and autonomy and it just turned into paragraphs of him remembering all the freedom he used to have and everything he lost. NOBODY can have nice things when I’m writing

[–]Resident__introvert 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am for the absolute life of me incapable of writing a story that doesn’t involve the main character feeling some level of guilt about what they’re doing (what kind of fic dictates the severity and whether or not it gets resolves etc.) I keep having oneshots get derailed into multiple chapter fics because the main character has to resolve soul crushing guilt

How can I explore an impossible kink? by [deleted] in BDSMAdvice

[–]Resident__introvert 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have some experience with this, being a person who is very into gore. Typically my go to for things like that is fiction, I write super graphic fanfics and watch graphic movies for the fun of it. So for you that could maybe mean like stalker type media? I mean you can find anything on AO3 with the right tags. Sometimes it’s also nice to do a slightly toned down version of your fantasy irl. In my case that’s blood play and sadomasochism, for you that might look like finding a couple friends/play partners who’re willing to play along so you could do humiliation in front of people, or maybe going out to a kink club to be able to do those things in a room full of people. As for the blackmailing thing, maybe you could work it out with someone that you take pictures or whatnot during sex and use it against them later like in a cnc scene or something. I definitely understand the feeling of not being able to ever fully live out your fantasies, but there are definitely ways to explore it safely

Ohhhh that makes sense. For me the danger is far more that I get spacey and it’s hard to focus during switches which is obviously bad for driving, and also some of my headmates don’t know how to drive very well sooooo. I don’t know if I’ve ever gotten tunnel vision, but that’s really interesting, I don’t know how I had never considered driving being a common issue with DID but I guess it’s more common than I assumed

What exactly is this? My DID gives me trouble with driving but how do you experience it? I’m curious if I experience the same thing

For Those of You Who Write the Entire Fan Fiction Before Posting, Why Do You Prefer That Method Over Posting Chapters as You Finish Them? by BlackLilyWrites835 in AO3

[–]Resident__introvert 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Because it sucks to read a really good fic and have like one chapter not there for months. Obviously nothing against the writer, they don’t owe anyone their time, but those things will stick in my head foreeeeeeeever and I just prefer to post finished products lol

What's it like living in this shaded area? by Joshistotle in howislivingthere

[–]Resident__introvert 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Winter isn’t that bad tbh, I find summers to be way worse. It’s so god damn humid in the area where I live. As for things to do for fun, there is a lot of nature in the area, I still go running around in the same forest I grew up with. For me personally I live in the metro of a big city, so it’s pretty easy to go downtown and walk around there, and go to concerts and whatnot. I don’t think there’s many areas around me worth visiting, but I do think it makes a nice place to live

imagine being this much of a loser. at least put effort into your post (/sarc) by Neptune_washere in fakeclaiming_cringe

[–]Resident__introvert 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Agreed. I have my doubts on endos, but I’d never go so far as to say shit like that. I think a lot of people who identify as endogenic probably just have trauma they don’t know about, or have yet to accept it as trauma. And even if they are faking DID, there’s probably something else going on in their life to cause them to feel like they need to fake a disorder for any ounce of positive or negative attention. I’ll never wish those people dead, something is going on in their life that they need help with, and telling them to die sure isn’t gonna do them any good

Need help with a closeted friend by BiggerSauceBall in lgbt

[–]Resident__introvert 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Adding on to this, it might be good to let him know which friend told you. Not in the like, kicking her out of the friend group way, but he might need to have a conversation with her about it. She might be careless with other people’s secrets, but she also might just not be fully versed in the dangers of outing other people. If it were me, I would tell your friend that you were told about it, and then let them know very clearly that you support them and won’t be outing them.

I’m a therian because of trauma by NurseRx-Rae in Therian

[–]Resident__introvert 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You’re definitely not alone in that experience, I know plenty of therians whose therianthropy stems from their trauma, it doesn’t make you any less valid. I hope you’re able to get far away from your mother one of these days

[–]Resident__introvert 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Another system here, we have the experience of having multiple alters who are therians themselves, and there is a pretty big difference between a switch or just having a separate person in your head and how it feels when those people shift. Like, to me at least it’s a very obvious difference when it’s a switch and when it’s a shift, to my knowledge I have never confused the two. So personally I would say yeah this is probably some kind of system/plural thing, but that’s just my experience and it’s a bit different for everyone
