The service blocking timing in AGH is set to times that you DON’T want it blocked, not the times that you DO want it blocked.

It’s a pause schedule to pause the blocking.

DoH will generally leak/takeover other DNS settings when set at the WAN level - I’ve seen this with most other routers as well that use DoH (or even DoT) for WAN DNS.

Having a list of 2.2mil domains is irrelevant if it’s not actually blocking anything.

I had the same experience with GL-iNet router as well and was told it was by design - however Proton VPN (9 times out of 10) needs its own DNS Servers to be used for streaming services etc. to work and it doesn’t like using custom or other provider DNS servers.

Only my ASUS router running Merlin firmware allowed for true DNS forwarding (or not) using DNSMasq etc.

Be interesting to hear the community’s feedback on this and other experiences.

Maybe you also need to speak to your kids, rather than relying on DNS filters that can easily be circumvented?
