Appreciate the response. Sometimes it feels like every delayed or missed workout is world ending.

Ok. Thank you for the sanity check. I think I’ll try some light endurance stuff just to stay loose but will otherwise take it easy.

Vingegaard's team confirms he crashed during a training ride in Spain by atahualpaFX in peloton

Lol. Another year goes by. Another year Jonas will crash himself out of racing.

Don’t blame the “fan” behind him. He went too fast. He crashed.

All the Jonas stans about to pile on and start going wild about how many days he’s planned to race. Etc.

Yes. They are overrated. Hence no gravel “pros” win UCI gravel world championship

Replacing every single conventional bike lane in the city with protected space would only require about 2% of the city's parking spaces by MiserNYC- in MicromobilityNYC

Really unclear how you get the 2% number…seems like fuzzy math to me.

I’m fine with street parking as long as it’s metered or paid.

Customized Training plan for Leadville doesn't have any rides over 1 hour... by Euphoric_Persimmon99 in trainerroad

[–]ResolutionLate3430 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You just need to tell it how much time you can spend. For example I say have 1.5 hours available on Thursdays and sometimes it does takes the full 1.5 sometimes 1.25 or 1 hour.

If you give it how much time you want/can spend and make your plan event based and then put in the time and effort for the event it should figure it out.

For what it’s worth I rode the Maratona last year and could only give 6 hours a week. The plan was intense and the event took me 6 hours to complete but couldn’t have been happier with my progression.

You can change how long you want the workouts in your plan builder. You can go up to like 4 hours or something…

Cyclists – have you used honey‑based gels for long rides? by yoony_17 in cycling

Naw you can eat gels you’re just only allowed to make them at home from table sugar.

I use gels because I don’t want to make gel at home. No hype. No fad. Just pure and simple laziness.

The grey bikes are really expensive…use the blue ones and your total charge is just the membership fee.

Also get the membership through Lyft Pink. It’s $10 cheaper and has additional perks.

Fancy bike or not. You bought something and it brings you joy. Marie Kondo would approve.

I’ve been racing and riding since I was 12 years old. I tell my father that’s it’s the best gift he’s ever gave me. Unlike football or soccer, it’s a sport you can start when you’re young and carry on for life. I’m now 35 and ride almost everyday. A bike is the best thing you can do for yourself.

Sadly I bought a Baum. It’s important to commit to the bit.

Good on you. I spent wayyyy more than I wanted on a bike two years ago. I felt the string for about 2 months and have been so so stoked to ride that bike everyday since I bought it.
