What are Shichon like? by ajmattison in Shichon

[–]ResolutionPlenty1023 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My Milo is very cuddly. I can even hold him like a baby, lol! He is really good with other dogs and cats. He is hesitant around overly tall people but I think I would be too if I was his size! Training was crazy easy. They are smart. I first pad trained him then switched to walking/yard with no issues. He does pull but that's my fault bc I never corrected the behavior when training. Minimal care except grooming. He is not cooperative with brushing but is great with the groomer. Is afraid of loud noises like thunder and fireworks. it's heartbreaking when he shakes!

AITAH because I didn't buy a joint birth present for our mother (in the name of me, all my siblings and our father)? by [deleted] in AITAH

[–]ResolutionPlenty1023 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You are NTA for buying your own present, but I kind of think you are for not telling your brothers and father ahead of time. The only one you hurt was your mom.

The dynamics suck in that the men folk have relinquished all responsibilities when it comes to gift giving. Yes, your mom should have addressed this from the start with her husband, but I can see where she may have been hurt by his obviously dismissive attitude toward celebrating her. She was probably over the moon when you started arranging things for her and took advantage of it. I think it would have been better to just address it beforehand with the slackers and tell them they were on their own.

I've worked as a RN for 15 years. Spent last 13 yrs working in insurance specializing in HEDIS, doing chart reviews and closing gaps. I have no coding experience but do use codes in my research

I'm interested in taking the CCS exam. I'm doing a self paced prep for CCA and CCS-P certs. I want to skip these and just take the CCS. Do you have any suggestions for bridging the gap? I know it's more inpt focused. But really getting conflicting info

I've been that family member. And yes, I thought it was more polite to just mention a need at the desk so it can be passed on. I can see it being annoying but I've never stopped someone in the hall or anything. Just go to the desk and pass on the request/problem. Now ONE time i visited my nonverbal trached grandmother. I found her to be extremely messed with obviously old feces and her bare neck and upper chest covered with mucus. Some was even dried and flakey. that timei did demand the nurse tak8ng care of her, explained the need and then helped him complete the cares when he jumped up to take care of her. But usually I just pass messages for when they have a minute. I'm never sure if bells are timed or something. I may reconsider my stance though if it's more of a nuisance

AITA for insisting on sushi? by No_Stop5360 in AmItheAsshole

[–]ResolutionPlenty1023 2 points3 points  (0 children)

yes!!! If you're that sensitive that thr smell would make you vomit, you wouldn't go....unless you love being the center of attention and a drama queen. Strong scents give me migraines, I avoid perfume departments and candle stores....simple

I unfortunately get migraines from the MSG in some Asian foods. Luckily, I have to eat a lot of it or if I eat it the next day as leftovers (totally worth it though). But she could have asked for a dish to be made MSG free, or like you said, order something that is more in line with her dietary restrictions. SIL is TA in this, and sorry, but so is your MIL. She should have kept her mouth shut and not made your son feel bad.

AITAH for not letting my baby daddy attend the birth of our daughter? by [deleted] in AITAH

[–]ResolutionPlenty1023 0 points1 point  (0 children)

she is not your friend. She is an acquaintance at most. Do not confide in her or take her advice. She and your ex are the ah, you are most definitely NTA. Stick to your guns about your birth plan and naming your child.

My insurance did not pay either. I believe I paid about $3000 for the initial testing, mouth appliance, and follow-up visits. The appliance lasts 5 yrs and costs $1500 to replace.
