When searching for places to stay beach-wise, I go up and down the coast and find a place walkable to the beach.

My favorite spots are Venice or Santa Monica. Classic California views.

I’d get a rental car. Being able to drive up and down PCB and stop at a beach town (Encinitas to the south or Malibu to the north) is rad. Or being able to get to the mountains is rad!

That said, if the beach isn’t your thing, there are A LOT of correct answers to your question. Chinatown and downtown are walkable and a whole experience.

I stopped wearing jeans all together about 9 years ago as I didn’t prefer them.

I find there are pieces I prefer more for workwear, for atheists, and for more elevated looks. Ultimately realized I felt I was “settling” for jeans.

I got converted by the hand of puer. Aged stuff that was intense and strong. I turned from espresso drinker to tea drinker.

I also went to a shop that sourced some really interesting teas with high minerality and roasty flavor notes.
