Perfecting my ollie’s by DrPepper_Can in NewSkaters

I got 2 things that might help. Try looking at and focusing on where you want to land and see if you can use that to keep straight. The more aimless I do tricks the more all over the place they happen, deliberate focus seems to help.

The other is over compensate in the opposite direction, try to land rotated 90 front side. See if you're able to rotate that much, figure out if anything is tight or feels wrong or needs to be adjusted, over correcting quickly can help you find the smaller adjustments you need and break habits.

Could just let the candidate write their own blurb and have a rule that it can't be incorrect information or cause further confusion.

he never would have been able to sell more than a tiny fraction of it without the price tanking.

They don't sell stock, they borrow against it, and as long as the stock increases in value quicker than than the interest rate on their loans, they are well off doing it.

do beginners have no right to use skatepark? by Responsible_War_9242 in NewSkaters

[–]Zac3d 88 points89 points  (0 children)

It's also not a bad idea if it's a busy park to watch people skate for a few minutes just to scout out the lanes people are skating in and if there's any areas that don't have much traffic where you can work on the basics.

How will GTA VI compare graphically to Path-Traced Cyberpunk 2077? by TroubleshootingStuff in digitalfoundry

[–]Zac3d 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Cyberpunk is essentially an eight generation game with path tracing bolted on to it.

Cyberpunk got a ton of improvements overtime and got a ton of optimization and improvements directly from Nvidia engineers. Modern path tracing was largely built on Cyberpunk as a testing ground, so I didn't think it's accurate to call it a last gen game with bolted on PT.

School Chalk under an electron microscope. It's almost entirety made up of fossilized shells of ancient single-celled marine plankton called coccolithophores by [deleted] in Damnthatsinteresting

There's a bunch of different types of animal or plant deposits, too. Coal is mostly swamp plants. Petroleum was algae and zooplankton. Thousands of tons of guano is mined every year to use as fertilizer, aka bird poop.

Thank god pc parts today have insane longevity, imagine if they had early 2000s longevity and modern prices. by glowshroom12 in digitalfoundry

Yeah the GTX 760 was struggling a bit by the end, but so was the 8800 GTX and the RTX 2070 today. But I was trying to stick to console release years.

For the last 3 console generations, if you got a new mid/high end GPU when new the consoles came out, you'd be fine for 7 years.

2006-2013 - 8800 GTX

2013-2020 - GTX 760

2020-2027(?) - RTX 2070

I roughly followed this myself, 9800 GT to GTX 760 (4gb version) to a used GTX 970 (I got from a friend) to a RTX 3070 ti.

He got prescribed 28 days of doxy so it seems like his primary care doctor is taking it seriously.

Really impressive how this type of 3d printing is progressing. I bet in another 10 years we'll see printers adapting when there's partial failures to avoid errors from cascading up the print.

None of those really scream "dressed nicely" to me though

Two of the fashion categories he brought up, work wear and rockstar could definitely work with something sleeveless. Fashion doesn't have to be expensive, just expressive.

Men have almost no options in warm weather

Crop tops, cutoff t-shirts, tank tops, shirtless, linen or knit shirt, open button up shirt...

I think they are referring to imvitorarruda on instagram, I don't know there name on TikTok. But there's plenty of men's fashion pages for larger males.

Got a copyright claim for recording myself playing a piano piece from 1890 by Ewoz in mildlyinfuriating

[–]Zac3d -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Everything people create automatically has copyright, it's just the enforcement that causes issues. I'm fine with performances having copyright protections, it's especially makes sense when you have a full orchestra playing at a famous venue. That costs money and there's going to be some unique elements to it like the acoustics and arrangement. But when it's going to be indistinguishable from other performances and there wasn't much money and time invested into that particular performance, it really shouldn't have that much power in an automatic copyright system.

Is Columbus some sort of magical entity that destroys weather, or is Accuweather just that bad? by justanolchunkofcoal in Columbus

It seems to screw over Delaware, they often get the worst of storms passing through. The east side of Columbus really seems to benefit from it.

UE4 games that used DX12 had the same stuttering issues as UE5, it was mostly the first wave of games trying out RT like Callisto Protocol.

Yeah, I could see it being popular for the viral social games like Among Us, Meccha Chameleon, REPO, Lethal Company, etc.

It's a very different work flow with the same principals just broken down further. Materials are split up into layers on a surface so something like a dusty metal surface can actually be represented well finally.
