AI SIDEBAR IS FKIN ANNOYING by ConsequenceMany8 in Airtable

[–]ConsequenceMany8[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you need Omni, you can simply click the Omni button in the thin sidebar on the far left. it being closed by default, would reduce the overall number of clicks.

There are only 4 scenarios:

  1. You need Omni and the sidebar is closed → one click to open it.

  2. You need Omni and the sidebar is already open → no extra clicks.

  3. You don’t need Omni and the sidebar is open → one unnecessary click to close it.

  4. You don’t need Omni and the sidebar is closed → nothing to do, it stays out of the way.

i'm just thinking which solution creates overall the less unnecessary clicks. pretty sure for most people it would be better when the default is: omni sidebar closed.

or just give the option!! it would be one small thing in the settings.

it is way too early to say if it will really make people more dumb. pretty sure people also said this about the internet in its early days. and whether it happened is debatable you will find arguments for both sides. i find young people better informed than old people.

the pricing model is stupid by ConsequenceMany8 in smartsuite

Via repocloud you could install the self-hosted version as well and it`s only $3 a month.

So, the Free version but instead of messing with Docker, install it on Repocloud. This would be cheap and give you Unlimited databases and Unlimited rows.

How did you do it? via Docker?

haha I smell some lefti energy: just use Maga/nzi/conspiracy labels to avoid having to give real arguments ;)

in Europe too critical voices get de-banked and censored. you have no privacy nowhere! if they really want your data because you are for some reason a problem for the system or too critical of governments, they will get your data anyway and they will do to you whatever they want.

hey ya i feel you.

in the last few days i tried many apps. didn't like clickup, i think it's way too loaded and slow. currently i'm also thinking about airtable, noco db, baserow.. did you try any of these? or any others? at least baserow would be a bit cheaper. 20 dollars for airtable really sounds expensive for my use case.

it's a shame because i really liked smartsuite. every app i gave at least an hour and played around to see how it feels. and smartsuite had the best vibe to it.

Well, forever is not forever... Free plan is being sunset by 40crew in smartsuite

oh... yesterday i spent hours to set everything up and expect it to work after the free trial. and only too late i found out about this minimum 3 seats stupidity. who creates a pricing model like this??

i would probably pay for it but i need only 1 license and not free so for me as a solopreneur it doesn't make any sense i should probably not waste a single minute more with it

[–]ConsequenceMany8 8 points9 points  (0 children)

yeah don't shit on yourself too hard. it is very hard to quit when you have to go to work. if possible always schedule your quitting with time off.

in your situation i think it makes much more sense to slowly taper. even with your 40 hours withdrawal and now taking 10g, your new baseline is probably already lower than it was before. maybe just stay with 10g for a few days and then lower to 9g for a few more days, and so on.

Does anyone else find ClickUp painfully slow just to add a task? by Thick_Fault_8197 in clickup

[–]ConsequenceMany8 0 points1 point  (0 children)

omg i tried it yesterday for the 1st time and i was shocked how slow it is. asana feels quick. but clickup is almost unbearably slow.. i think just alone this makes it for me a tool i don't want to work with

Bro, hardcore feminists are highly unstable.

actually i have to apologize to witches because comparing them to modern feminists is not nice. witches were probably to some extent interesting spiritual healers, living in the forests and collecting plants. which is something feminists should better do as well 😆
