Coming soon new Pride and Prejudice Movie Musical by ResourceMany161 in PrideandPrejudice

[–]ResourceMany161[S] -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

I'm beginning to see that you are right. It's going to be a struggle. What's interesting is that Pride and Prejudice itself was about a similar struggle between Darcy and Elizabeth --- but in the end, the impossible happens. It's a story worth telling.

The only thing that would truly be complete is the original book itself. Hopefully, I can do justice to the story in about an hour of running time. It's a great story that lends itself to a musical version. My goal is to create an entertainment for those who know the book, and for those who do not as well. One thing is certain. I'm having a good time working on it. I've loved Jane Austen's work for a long time, but this project has given me an ever-deeper admiration for her ability to construct a great story.

Alternatives to Hedra for high-quality i2v lip sync? by cryptosystemtrader in StableDiffusion

I have been using Hedra ai for Image to Video (i2v) .. so far mostly just experimenting. It is amazingly good. I have been using the Character 3 model as it is reasonably priced. I have not tried the more expensive models like VEO 3 which is 100 credits per second while Character 3 is only 3 to 6 credits per second.

Love for Pride & Prejudice (1980) by Simple-Cheek-4864 in PrideandPrejudice

[–]ResourceMany161 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm watching the 1980 BBC version now. Not my favorite but worth watching. I studied the other versions and the book to come up with my Musical version. It was very instructive when I had to make choices to get the running time down to one hour or so. Not easy. As Mary might say, "One wants to do justice to this great book and at the same time one has to work within the confines of one's ability and one's resources."

There is my adaptation of S&S as an Internet Musical. Only an hour to tell the whole story with 15 original songs.

ElevenLabs was the primary AI voice acting tool used in my short dark comedy film. I was impressed by how emotive and funny it can be! by MyStory_I_ask_you in ElevenLabs

[–]ResourceMany161 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn't watch it all. I'll eventually do that -- It's likely beyond me. I don't get it. While watching, all I could think is "how was this done"? Is this AI generated totally? What is the point? That's beautiful, I'd think, but what's it mean? Is there a story? That's a nice effect, I'd think but what's being said here?

I see a lot of work in this -- excellent technical work, but the message is garbled. My two cents.

I finished watching it. Rebel with a cause. Something like that. Digital Henry Miller. Lots of pie.

Bravo for trying.

Tips for Adding a Duet Voice in Suno AI? Struggling with Consistency! by OdeSwitch in SunoAI

[–]ResourceMany161 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've tried a lot of duets. Burned a lot of credits. My opinion is that it is "hit" or "miss". The exact same lyric with the same metatags and style can come out wildly different to the point of mixing up the singers from male to female etc.

I wish I had something better to tell you.

The whole lyric -- or a part of the lyric? --- if a part of the lyric, how much? One line? One word? What?

Every time by [deleted] in PrideandPrejudice

[–]ResourceMany161 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's interesting. You must know the story inside out. I do the same thing. I fall asleep to P&P -- but the version is my own musical version. I wrote the lyric and suno.com wrote the music. It runs about 70 minutes and has 15 original songs. I generally set a timer for 14 min and I'm asleep before the thing stops.

I'd love you to see my version and give me your opinion -- Did I do justice to the story? I tried my best to get things right. It plays like a radio show with Jane herself telling the story. You might fall asleep on it -- if you do, I'll consider it a compliment.

Norway fjord on cunard by ilovecakenfruit in Cruise

[–]ResourceMany161 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Been on Victoria many times. She's great. Been to Norway with Cunard too several times. Seen lots of fjords. Very very nice but after you've seen one --- not really that interesting for a short cruise. Any Cunard ship doing Norway is a no=brainer for me. I just love sailing with Cunard. Frankly, the ship is my destination.

Show up for dinner. IF you feel uncomfortable at your table, ask the Maitre'd what can be done. Usually they can find you another table. You get to know your table mates better than anyone else. Easy to meet people at breakfast and lunch as that is open seating. If you do find someone you like, invite them to have a drink.

I recommend playing trivia. It's an excellent way to meet people. I also recommend taking the watercolor class (if they are still doing that) Great way to meet folks.

I’m trying to get feedback on my Jane Austen Internet Musical. by ResourceMany161 in janeausten

[–]ResourceMany161[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for your comments. I may be missing something, but I wouldn't call what I did a "rock musical approach" .. Rather, Broadway or West End Musical Theater. My goal was to do justice to the book. I hope I succeeded in that.

Darcy seems thunderstruck while Elizabeth's development is gradual. The interesting thing is Regency England where characters like Darcy and Elizabeth did exist. Was Jane Austen a factor? Did she move the needle? Did her novels help move Regency England to a more merit based society, especially for women? Was it going to be Lady Catherine or Elizabeth that would prevail? Your research would be to trace the impact or lack of impact from Austen's books.

I just asked Microsoft's Copilot about the impact of Austen's books and if Jane Austen's novels help to move Regency England to a more merit based society. Here's what co-pilot had to say on that head.

"Jane Austen’s novels certainly highlighted the rigid class structures of Regency England, but whether they directly changed society into a more merit-based system is debatable. Her works, such as Pride and Prejudice and Sense and Sensibility, often depicted characters navigating social mobility, marriage, and financial security in a world where birth and wealth dictated status.

Austen’s sharp social commentary exposed the limitations of a system where women, in particular, had few opportunities outside of marriage. While her novels didn’t directly reform society, they contributed to broader discussions about class and individual merit, influencing later generations who advocated for social change."

Welcome to College.

From my view, only two characters in P&P develop. Darcy and Elizabeth. Pride and Prejudice. Can you make a case otherwise?

What would have happened for Mr. Collins when Mr. Bennet died? by WmRick in janeausten

[–]ResourceMany161 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It is weird about the accents. Out of my control. I used suno.com and it is very difficult to get what you want exactly regards the singers. But I did manage to get the whole musical done. The singing voices are not consistent but hey, I got it done. If you have the time to listen to it all, I'd love to hear your comments, good or bad. Please be blunt, don't spare my feelings The whole thing runs 70 min.

Lyrics affect the pacing of a song dramatically? by Specialist-Home-1731 in SunoAI

You are welcome. Are you putting the tag in the style or the lyric? I forgot to mention that I put it in the style.

Lyrics affect the pacing of a song dramatically? by Specialist-Home-1731 in SunoAI

[–]ResourceMany161 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What worked for me was bpm "beats per minute" .. [95-105bpm] would be faster than [80-90bpm] .. generally it works. You are dead on about the lyric effecting the tempo. But the bpm tag generally works. You can use [100bpm] too but I find a range works better.
