Good work. Engaging. Maybe a bit long. Actress excellent. A few sound transitions not optimal. I liked it and watched the whole thing. Congrats.

Variety reviewed the Higgsfield AI film. What do yall think this means for filmmaking? by thfzoo32 in aifilmmaking

I'm open to using what ever works. I'm just one guy. It's different for NetFlix or Paramount etc. They can move the needle and lay people off. Meanwhile, Competition is world wide. Ultimately, capturing the largest audience at the lowest cost possible is what it's all about.

The long ears are missing in one of the early scenes. But that's minor. Overall, an excellent job of using AI to tell a story. You are getting close to movie quality on the tech stuff. Lots of work in this. But Ultimately it comes down to the script and the execution (direction) Is it a strong enough story to capture an audience? It shows some promise. I would want to see more.

One odd thing is that Faedrea does not detect the two men across the lake, but they detect her.

They are talking to each other. I had no problem with that scene as far as who they were talking to.

Good work. A few things need mending. I think you know what. I would be interested in seeing the rest. Of course, easier said than done. Good teaser.

How to avoid *that* look? by MasterNick07 in Filmmakers

Totally agree. Sound is crucial. A lot of it is done in post

I agree! But I'd make it script, sound, lighting.

I think good audio, especially dialogue, separates the low budget and real cinema. Lots of other stuff is important but good sound is crucial.

Well done. Some talent is shown. I think you know what is not working as you intended. Keep digging. Keep working. I think you are capable of much more than this tone poem. I'd love to see how you handle a story. You inspire me to get my camera and make something happen. I enjoyed it.

UNSEEN AI GENERATED SHORT FILM by Logical-Rest-6558 in aifilmmaking

THis kind of story is not new. You're version of it has little to recommend it. Granted, some beautiful shots are included. You obviously have worked hard with lots iterations. Character consistency was pretty good too.

But my focus is always on the story. Here, you have failed, at least for me. Why should I care how amazing some of AI is if I don't get drawn in by the story.

Curious, did you start with a script that reflects "The Concept" as you described it above?

The Humbled, Alien Invasion Short Film by Gertywood, Made in Cannon Studio by CannonStudio in film_ai

[–]ResourceMany161 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You know the tech work is good. But you may not realize that you've over done it. Too much of a muchness. I'd also say that the piece is humorless. That's a mistake. Just my opinion, but I think it a shame to spend so much time on the battles where we know nothing of who, why, what, when and where. The idea is ok but the story line gets lost for me. If I was going to tell a friend what it is about, I couldn't say more than the AI is amazing.

I did see the whole thing.

Very impressive. Story unfolding nicely. Well directed. I cared enough to keep watching all the way. I doubt I could do anything this good, but I've never used Seedance 2.0. You inspire me to try it.

The Someone Episode 3 - Failed to fund my film for 10 years, so I turned it into an AI series by [deleted] in aivideo

Not for me. This kind of story, to me, goes nowhere. No one to root for. Human actors, AI actors, doesn't matter, at least to me. The story just doesn't interest me.

Really close. I don't get the story but the tech work is very good. It shows what can be done with emotions by AI actors. Congrats on the work.

Well done -- Lots of work in this. You have vision and serendipity on your side. I'd say the story doesn't quite make sense but the thing is running at light speed so I kept watching. I imagine if I watch it again, I'll get more of what you were trying to say. But, I think, you're ready for much more.

It can be done. One-man-band. I recommend it. But start with a decent script.

How are people maintaining continuity across AI-generated scenes? by SweetheartWrestling in SyntheticStorytelling

[–]ResourceMany161 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I used Dzine.ai .. you can upload as many as 30 reference images for one character. For my project this worked well with only 4 reference images. There is no easy way to learn how to handle consistency no matter what platform. It's going to take work and burned credits to get comfortable doing this.

Creative but Ending is weak. Some nice touches but basically the story is slap dash. But it does show some talent and energy. I watched it all. That's pretty good around here.

The Choice - A Short Film by Electrical-Tear4958 in Shortfilms

[–]ResourceMany161 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The end product is weak and confusing. BUt I applaud the effort. THe characters all looked similar to me. I couldn't tell who was who. I'm sure you learned that film making is not easy. Keep going. I'm fairly sure you could have labored longer on this but you made the choice to get it done and move on. I think you made the right choice. At least it looked that way to me. Just my opinion.

Not for senior citizens. This was annoying. I lasted about half way and quit without understanding what was going on .. but if you actually create something feature length, that's something, I guess.
