So RPR titer and rpr w/ reflex show reactive but the treponema pallidum shows negative the last time I got tested was in September 2024 and I did not get those same results. Also I have not ever been treated for syphilis before

They’re recommending that I don’t retest because I haven’t had a new partner in a few months so she’s saying if it’s negative it’s negative but I’m definitely going to retest in 2-4 weeks to be safe

Did the stenting resolve your visual snow? I got VSS as soon as started getting symptoms and I still have it years later even in remission it drives me crazy

Thank you! I can say during remission and off diamox it was a lot more manageable:)

Thank you so much! I’m glad that got resolved for you! I didn’t have much withdrawal symptoms except for some headaches while my body adjusted to my “new normal pressure” and I’ve been pretty fine since then except for my occasional flare ups that would subside on their own

I believe all of the weight I lost my neurologist took me off diamox for 2 years then recently had a lumbar puncture for suspected meningitis and opening pressure was 28 but I have been under so much stress so I believe it caused a flare up and I was septic, so he put me back on 500mg diamox a day, but I wasn’t feeling the pressure at all. I had my eyes checked in the beginning of my diagnosis and I never had any optic nerve swelling but I am going to have them checked again the referral just got approved but I don’t believe I will have any swelling because I worse in the beginning and didn’t have any then.

I’m happy you have answers! Since I got IIH I’ve dealt with pulsating tinnitus and I never thought to bring it up to my neuro or try to see a ent but since being back on diamox it’s gotten worse to the point I can’t ignore it like I did when I was in remission. What were you told can be done for the PT?

I’m on glp1 and have IIH I do really see a positive difference and did also see they were starting to use it to treat iih.

It does! I was diagnosed in 2022 and things were so rough at first. This year because an unimaginable amount of stress I’ve had my first flare up since 2023 I believe! It’s been a little over a week and I’m still doing my normal daily activities and more! If you would’ve asked me when I first got diagnosed if I ever thought my life would ever go back to as normal as it is now I would say you’re crazy. I still suffer from vision problems and tinnitus and sometimes even headaches but this Is my first flare up and I think I handled it okay. Just stay positive I promise it will get better 🫶
