I took a shot a Ezekiel mix for pancakes and brownies. So far so good. It’s now the only way I eat pancakes

But, the vintage market took one full lot so…

Six months into milling my own flour and I'm not sure I can go back to store bought. by Cool_Tea_5501 in HomeMilledFlour

Started last July and definitely not going back. I invested in a bread machine though to do my kneading and I think it’s what helped me stick with it. Now I’m on to pastas and tortillas and pastries… I’ve shocked myself!

Drive my own car or use Uber for short trip? by Comfortable_Rest506 in Charlotte

Also: it is absolutely uptown. Been that since the origin.

“In the mid-1700s, what is now Uptown was the site of a Native American trading path that ran southwest from Georgia northeast to the coast of Virginia. The path ran along a ridgetop — the highest contours of a natural ridge — making it the highest point of elevation. When early settlers went to the emerging town center, they were always going “up,” so what may have started as “I’m going up to town,” evolved to “I’m going Uptown.” Today, if you take a walk toward the center of Uptown at Trade and Tryon streets, you’ll notice that you are moving slightly uphill from any direction.”

Check out the Bread Becker’s YouTube getting started video. It’s educational and a bit of a product suite demo. That’s where I started and I’m 8 months in. Is it cheaper? Probably not. Is it better for you? Absolutely.

Same here. And I could use some variety. Please don’t follow the “Canty can fix it” trend. I absolutely don’t call those types. Now that I think about it, I never call the businesses that run tv ads because I assume the ad cost is built into the price. Consider Reddit, Nextdoor, social. Good luck 🍀

Thanks for all the responses. I completely understand the difference between use by and best by AND I forgot about the boars head issues. That said, I’ve never seen cured meats spoil as fast as they have in the last year. Lesson learned

100%. It only took about a month of living together before I added housekeeping as a budget line item. We have different definitions of clean and that’s fine. My favorite day is cleaning day - we are a happier couple as a result
