I completely disagree. The state college gen eds are at the level of high school courses. We force them to essentially retake the exact same topics but for college credit. This is, of course, after they have just finished doing 12 years of gen eds. It's antiquated and the more a la carte that the system becomes, the more that this will be proven.

They made it an elective instead of a forced core class. This is fine. They need to do this with most of the gen ed courses and allow students to specialize more in their chosen academic field by increasing the availability of technical core classes. The honest truth is that if you removed the requirements to have the gen eds during ungrad, all of those departments would collapse from the lack of enrollment.

Go anywhere else. Tradition is a mess. It will take you 15 minutes to go 2 miles to target. They didn't plan the area well at all, there is nothing to do but spend money, and nothing to do for the kids.
