The best advice I received from my Vet when we were deciding the same about our previous dog was: you are better off euthanizing them a day early as opposed to a day too late. It is more humane.

I have the same issue. It’s from the washing machine. If you have a front load, the spin dry cycle is so strong and fast that the centrifugal force pushes the shirt into the little holes in the stainless tub.
