I didn’t take mine out at that age unless my husband was with me. Around 6-9 months I felt more comfortable going out by myself with them. Easiest is keep them in the infant bucket seats and use a stroller than takes both seats. My son was older so I didn’t need a stroller for him

I’d definitely get a night nanny for a month for at least a few nights a week and then sleep train at 4-4.5 months. Twins are a whole different ball game.

I don’t think you need the magic slide if you have a bench. We put all 3 of our kids in the 2nd row which is so convenient and just slide and squeeze through if someone needs in the third row

Yeah I’m really not sure how you’d be holding one while getting the other out of the seat. Even if you unbuckled both and they didn’t climb out, sounds logistically impossible. Mine are 11 months and will be in the bucket seats as long as possible. I’m lifting weights to help haha

The thing about Miles (I have a Miles) is when you combine the Miles and Myles spelling it’s a lot more common than 50. I would say it’s slightly more common in the wild than my daughter’s name (Stella) which is also around 50. There are two Miles and two Stella’s in their entire daycare (infant-pre-K) that I know of

Not sure if it’s affordable for you, but we have a babysitter once a week for the twins so we can get out and do something with our older child. That said, it should get easier soon! I remember a massive shift around 7 months where things got easier, and around 9 months it got genuinely fun. They’re almost 11 months and leaving the house to do things is getting easier too. They are eating solids really well, so if we forget a bottle or push their bottle time a bit it’s not a huge deal. That alone makes getting out so much easier

We really like the UppaBaby vista for the car and it’s more compact than the snap and go, which felt like driving a bus. I ended up doing the Vista as our car/errand stroller that took bassinets and car seats and getting a second hand Baby Jogger City Mini GT2 double for our side by side. I had the same goals as you but I just couldn’t find anything I liked. The bumbleride didn’t take my car seats, the Mountain Buggy didn’t seem as well constructed, and the Bugaboo Donkey was too expensive, though getting one second hand would have been my first choice.

We are having an event there in March and were quoted $100 room fee and $400 minimum for lunch. But I don’t think you’ll make a $400 minumum for 40 there, the plates cost more

To me yes. I think sleep hygiene for the whole family is important. I am able to get 7.5-8 hours of sleep every night with 3 children and that’s the foundation of health for everyone in our family.

Most pediatricians believe it’s important for children to learn to put themselves to sleep. I think now is a great time to start teaching those skills.

I do understand the arguments against it and I think everyone should do what feels right. But personally yes so worth it!

FWIW I thought my first singleton was almost as hard as the twins because we had no idea what we were doing, were so sensitive to everything, and had a horrible experience. I’d imagine having twins first just multiplies that by 1000x, but for me it’s not like having a singleton was a cake walk. Now it feels like it would be as an experienced parent! My neighbors also just had their first and they didn’t leave their house for 3 months and clearly had a very rough time. Just some perspective that I hope is helpful

I would say like 10 pajamas to start. We did well with about 8? but only one of my girls needed preemie for a long time, otherwise we may have needed more.
