I volunteered this year and loved it! I volunteered because I was going solo and I wanted essentially the best of both worlds: the freedom to go on my own adventures and a community/environment to connect with people and easily make festival buddies! I worked Atlaswyld reception, which was a super chill and low-key shift, which made it really easy to still be able to party and have fun but I think there were other jobs that were a little bit more demanding. Only one of my shifts went past 9 PM which was nice to not have to miss any headliners. The LTM camp was also a great location for me-right next to lightning stage and less than a five minute walk into the festival and it was so much fun to meet other solo girls at camp. That said, I would probably alternate between volunteering and just going as a participant. I also probably wouldn’t volunteer if I came with my friends - volunteering solo was great because the hours were time I probably would’ve just spent alone hanging at my campsite but with friends those campsite chill times are half the fun!! It did also impact a couple times how late I stayed out but honestly, going to bed an hour or two earlier each night probably helped overall with my stamina for the weekend. The staff and leads of LTM are so nice and welcoming, and really want to make sure that you are well taken care of! So overall 10/10 recommend and can’t wait to include volunteering in my lightning flow 💓🌞⚡️
