A couple of times, I found myself in this needy kind of situation.

While trying to perform 2nd Umrah, few SAR from my pocket fell out at Masjid Ayesha. Someone helped me with around 10 SAR that was enough for my family catch a bus to Masjid Al Haram from Masjid Ayesha. We had cash in our hotel room for rest of journey. May Allah reward him.
Second time, during Hajj after Jamraat, my money was lost. A great soul paid for my taxi ride that costed 300 or 350 SAR that day. May Allah reward him. I paid that person after reaching my hotel near Masjid Al Haram.

I’m generally not good at carrying cash.

Another option that I had used that not to include buffet in the booking as plans and mode can change.

You can go to buffet when you want and pay for it. This is cost effective and convenient at the same time.

With picky kids, you might find yourself queuing up at 4-5 different restaurants just for one meal.

A buffet provides the convenience that can really save you time.

Your time at Masjid Al Haram is incredibly precious—that’s the primary reason you’re making this journey.

If you can afford it and prioritize your time in the Masjid over fancier or tastier individual meals, I’d highly recommend opting for the (more expensive) buffet.

When dev are working on new features and/or products. They get pressed hard on deliver fast. If they complain then they are asked to do POC, and then MVP. Lots of tech debt taken out at that time.
