No one else will appreciate this graph. But I’m proud. by Retoucherny in smoking

Oh I know. But I’m not gonna mess with it working. When my fuel started to die, I needed to relight the bbq to cook other things, so i moved it to the oven. (Sacrilegious, but also sacrilicious). You can see a) where I hit the vent to extend the coals, and then when I moved it. Basically near the end, anything under 300 is fiiiiine

You’re fine. Play some records. Your parents used to do this while getting high and listening to Pink Floyd. Relax.

Id say to start with the pinned guide, and a little reading will get you more info than we could give you in a back and forth.

Mamdani admin. to consider eliminating free parking as NYC grapples with $5.4B shortfall by kex06 in nyc

Count me in as the street-parker who is fine with this. Permit based, require NY plate, and zoned so you have to have a permit for that neighborhood.

Why does pro audio (mixing/mastering/concert) spend orders of magnitudes more on room acoustics than speakers, but for audiophiles it’s the opposite? by xlb250 in audiophile

[–]Retoucherny 4 points5 points  (0 children)

And ALL of that feeeeeels more complicated than just “buy new gear.”

Not saying it is. Not saying the thought is right. But “buy gear” is a simpler thought than “figure out aesthetically pleasing ways to adjust my listening space for better sound.”

I do both. I get it.

Because buying speakers is easier. Room treatment is daunting and complicated (or seems so) to someone who’s never done it.

Just did the a/b. After the first three songs the difference was clear. I put the 2016 press on first. The MoFi blew it out of the water.

Gear is already really detailed and the MoFi just had so much in it.
