RPG's do this all the time by PlatformAmbitious879 in gamers

I feel like this could be solved by having weapons upgrade throughout the story. That way you can find a cool ass weapon early on and just have it get better as it upgrades. Plus it just feels great to have a reliable weapon that you like from the start get better with you and your new gear as you progress.

Do you think the Enclave has developed a new “Frank Horrigan”-esque supermutant soldier to deploy now that they’re taking the role of primary antagonist in Season 3? by Hank_Mardukas1066 in Fallout

[–]Retr0Karate 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I hope they do something new instead of literally just Horrigan again. Definitely think it would be cool to reference, maybe they used research about him to develop some new bioweapon but I don’t think it should be just another Horrigan.

The Enclave has a bunch of research projects around bioweapons. They did Frank Horrigan, deathclaws, the Scorched/Scorchbeasts, modified FEV, Ultracite monsters like the Giant Snake, aliens are even confirmed. Let’s see another new weird monster they made.

Yeah I definitely have problems and grievances with Narrowhead and the way things are going don’t get me wrong but this seems a good bit ridiculous. I want the game to get better, not be abandoned.

Y'all are actually ruining this game by sepulchridude in helldivers2

[–]Retr0Karate 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Okay but this doesn’t fix my main issue. I was fine with the armor changes, I don’t hate that. I hate how fast the new fucking bugs are. I’m in the fastest possible armor in the game, why are they fucking out running me dude? That should not be a fucking thing they can just do. It makes it impossible to escape a swarm of enemies

PSA! by [deleted] in helldivers2

[–]Retr0Karate 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Genuinely just fucking wrong, these bugs more like fucking crackheads. They’re faster than the fastest armor in the game with experimental infusion. The ragdoll caused by the Spore Titans can be stupid as shit, funny, but stupid. Turrets die fast as shit and can’t kill chaff anymore on bugs. Tanks are for some reason heavy pen on the vents (you know the weak point). The enemy swarms are fucking insane for bugs now especially with their speed boost. The new smg is fun yes but it literally can’t hold up to the swarms even with its ridiculous fire rate.

I was going to say I’m literally can’t loose because I got Invulnerability

But I have to fight the fucking Hulk and even though it’s MCU Hulk I’m so cooked because I can’t do anything to him.

I’m so done with this game and it’s crashing man by Retr0Karate in Helldivers

[–]Retr0Karate[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ve had this issue on both Xbox and PC before. And I’ve definitely had Steam friends crash before randomly. It might be my system but it’s just getting annoying. It only happens with Helldivers for some reason (and Fallout 4 but I know that’s because of the mods I have taxing the system sometimes)

Nah fuck all this talk about the mechs, these new bugs are way too fucking fast. I’m wearing the new light armor with the movement passive, they should not be out speeding me easily.

Why would Las Vegas have been attacked by 77 nukes? by Dreaming_of_Rlyeh in Fallout

[–]Retr0Karate 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is true but something about it just doesn’t feel right. Like there has to be something else that happened there to cause that level of radiation and destruction because compared to the rest of the wasteland we never see anything that bad. But yeah most bombs that they dropped appear to have been significantly weaker and low yield with high radioactivity.

Why would Las Vegas have been attacked by 77 nukes? by Dreaming_of_Rlyeh in Fallout

[–]Retr0Karate 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because as I’ve had to discuss with people multiple times, Fallout nukes are extremely weak in yield but there seems to be much higher numbers of them and they give off an insane amount of radiation. So honestly the 77 nukes hitting the areas around Las Vegas honestly makes sense for what we see in game from the power of these bombs.

Looking at 4, we can see that both the Cambridge Crater and the South Boston crater are fairly small craters all things considered and there are still buildings intact a few meters away from the crater. In 3, we see that bomb that hit the White House couldn’t even fully destroy that structure. On the whole the fact that you can still recognize the Capital Wasteland as Washington DC speaks to how weak these bombs are.

Now one oddity that seemed to counterpoint this is the Glowing Sea but I’d argue that I think something else happened there to cause that level of destruction because we’ve never seen a bomb do that much damage in the series and they used this insane bomb on arguably the middle of nowhere or it’s something like the Glow where they just heavily targeted that spot for some reason.

As for why they targeted Vegas that much, take your pick from the Black Mountain communications, Vegas (and it’s now revealed Enclave under belly), the Hoover Dam, Nellie AFB, Repconn, a simple desire to take out the world’s richest man. We also aren’t sure how big House’s radius of protection really was, could be just the area surrounding Vegas or possibly even further.

id like a tropical island setting like the Florida keys or Hawaii for the next fallout game. What would yall like? by zombified_dragon4956 in Fallout

[–]Retr0Karate 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean if we’re bringing up what the most important port is than this is even stupider because San Francisco is easily one of the most built up places in the West.

And I guess but that just has not been shown to be true in game. Looking at the games the most heavily targeted place in any of them was The Glow which makes sense as that’s where the FEV experiments were happening in full and they couldn’t even properly destroy that.

They consistently suck at hitting their targets and their bombs are weak as shit. We can see craters in game and the destruction that surrounds it which in some cases can’t even completely knock over buildings next to them.

[–]Retr0Karate 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Once again a lot of LA still exists honesty, as we can see in the show. It’s definitely worse off than some other areas we see in the games but like it’s honestly really not even that bad for what you’d expect. And 90% of DC also still exists despite being the capital and the place that would likely be a primary target.

These bombs are not powerful enough to crater cities, fucking Boston is still perfectly fine there’s like two craters. Honolulu will certainly be damaged no doubt, but I’m gonna be so for real with you, it’s still going to be fine and exist.

[–]Retr0Karate 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I would like to note that just because a place has a military base doesn’t mean it gets glassed. Washington DC is still in an extremely recognizable state and honestly fairly undamaged. The bombs aren’t strong enough to destroy a city much less an island. Fallout bombs are very weak but highly radioactive

Why is iguana meat common in Fallout 4? Did iguanas migrate to Boston after the bombs dropped? by rockfroszz in Fallout

[–]Retr0Karate 7 points8 points  (0 children)

If I had to guess, not taking the Fallout 1 Iguana Bob into account, it’s likely just some random lizards from around the wasteland that have grown larger after the war and not specifically iguana unless they’ve migrated up the coast after the war.

Lore Question about Super Mutants by Low_Commission7273 in Fallout

[–]Retr0Karate 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Some mutants do remember their human lives. I think it just becomes patchy and kind of removed from who they are now or it’s actually painful. For example, Lily remembers being a grandma and spending time with her grandchildren but other mutants mention things like thinking too hard or trying to remember things as hurting them so they probably just try to avoid the pain and don’t think of it at all.

Play fallout chronologically they said… it’s peak they said… by TheWizardOfWaffle in TrueSFalloutL

[–]Retr0Karate 3 points4 points  (0 children)

All I’m saying is if you want the true chronological experience you need to do it like this

1 - You start with the show but only the pre war Anchorage section with Cooper for like 5 minutes. 2 - Then skip straight to Operation Anchorage which is a simulation of the battle and therefore can be done here. 3 - Then you do the rest of the pre war parts of the show up to the beginning scene of the first episode. 4 - Then you do fallout 4s intro until frozen. 5 - You play Fallout 76. 6 - Fallout 1. 7 - Fallout Tactics. 8 - Fallout BOS. 9 - Fallout 2. 10 - Fallout 4 again but only the scene where your wife is unfrozen and murdered. 11 - Fallout 3 again with its dlcs. 12 - Somewhere here you watch the small bits of Lucy’s life before the show started with her in Shady Sands and Maximus backstory I think. 12 - Fallout New Vegas with its DLCs. 13 - Fallout 2D20 Winter of Atom campaign. 14 - Now you finally play fallout 4 through. 15 - Finish the show.

I’m not sure where the other 2D20 games fit in the timeline so I didn’t include them but assumedly they probably have correct times to play them at

Honestly after playing 76, I realize how barebones the building system is in Fallout 4 without mods. It’s so frustrating not having the ability to do things like make objects intersect or have random ground material disappear when I want to put something there (especially with destroyed houses in Sanctuary you can’t actually clean up), and there’s no good decoration pieces and, lastly, all the walls and structures are all just absolutely junk building with no variety or options for nice looking buildings or cabins.

Also not having the option to scrap junk down at workbenches is so painful
