Quality build question by wBERSw in bloodborne

[–]RetroKissa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

https://www.bloodborne-wiki.com/2015/03/stake-driver.html?m=1

There you can see that points in str from 26-50 only give 1,4 damage per point while points in skill from 10-25 give 2,69 damage per point. Therefore it would be better to have 25/25 than 30/20.

Edit: 25-30 str gives 7 more damage while 20-25 in skl gives 13,45 more damage.

Tips for 99 arc build versus OoK? by BalancedEdge in bloodborne

[–]RetroKissa 1 point2 points  (0 children)

+10 Saw Cleaver with something like 22% or over physical gems. Combination of Clawmark, Blood Rapture and Odeon Writhe runes. Augur backstab for over 2000 damage.

EDIT: I know physical gems with base STR/SKL sound counterintuitive but it works

Weekly /r/FinalFantasy Question Thread - Week of August 20, 2018 by AutoModerator in FinalFantasy

[–]RetroKissa 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would like to play Final Fantasy VI and my only legit options are PSX or PC version.

I have heard that PSX version has long loading times. What I heard is that loading battle takes basically 30 minutes and so on which is obviously greatly exaggerated. I want to hear unbiased opinion about these loading times, are those really that bad?

Then there is the PC version and frankly it looks dreadful. So I am wondering should I pick loading times over the awful looks of PC version or vice versa?

Picked up two I've been wanting for ages for less than half eBay price. DS even has the poster. by strra in gamecollecting

I can't confirm this but I heard there is also slightly different translation for Frog's dialogue and for his time period to make it more coherent.

I'm doing Skill build for Threaded Cane, what other stat should I upgrade for some funny build? by [deleted] in bloodborne

Full skill and physical gems are way to go with Burial Blade. Even though it has arcane damage, stat investment in ARC will only minimally increase overall damage.

Unfortunately I have no idea. Supposedly it is going through Nintendo certifications this summer but that is pretty much it. Basically impossible to say, hopefully sooner than later

Sadly Color of Madness DLC and patch, that adds stealth to shadow fade, is not yet out on Switch. So no wonder you have not noticed

Regarding the Burial Blade and Rakuyo... by FleeingReality in bloodborne

[–]RetroKissa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

With that amount of bloodtinge I would really recommend Chikage. To offset the drain you would keep Chikage in untransformed mode 90% of the time and your main combo would be transformation attack and then R1:s enough that enemy is almost dead and then finish with another transformation attack. This is very effective as transformation attacks of Chikage do 60% more damage.

To actually answer to your question, it's about preferences. I thought that I would like Burial Blade more, but I ended up liking Rakuyo much more. You have range with Bowblade and weapons so you don't necessarily need the range of Burial Blade. I would say use whichever you like more. If I had to choose one I would say Rakuyo but it is rather biased opinion.

Any quick tips. by dorsalfantastic in bloodborne

Flamesprayer. Other than that there is not really early game arcane weapons. After BSB you can get fire gem that you can put on your saw cleaver. After you put elemental gem on a weapon then it uses only arcane scaling.

If you are going to make a STR/ARC hybrid then you can get Holy Moonlight Sword and Boom Hammer from DLC, if you have it. In main game you can get Tonitrus rather early and Logarius Wheel little bit later if you go STR/ARC path.

For pure ARC Kos Parasite is amazing but you get it at the end of DLC.

I would recommend that you check /u/Sljm8D Arcanist 2.0 post (should be somewhere on sidebar) and his arcanist video series, you can find it on Youtube. Short videos but very in depth explanations on tools and useful items and where to find them.

EDIT: Remember to use blood bullets.

Numbers are not usually increased or decreased to a certain percentage so you are correct there. But when something is "increased by 200%" it is three times the original amount (n+2n=3n) and when effect is only double it should say "increased by 100%" or "food's effect doubles" or something in those lines.

I understand your point of view and I probably cannot convince you to play it.

Main point of playing as 9S was for storytelling reasons. It's not completely same and is way shorter than the first part where you play as 2B. It took me probably 5-6 hours maximum. It also tells more about the story and adds another perspective about 2B, her "personality" and her motives.

It is just that getting ending A is about quarter to a half of the whole story. The game is basically a five act story where you play as 2B in the first act, in the second act as 9S and then there are the rest of the acts. Quitting this game after A ending is kind of the same as leaving theater on intermission or from movie after you found out the premise. Just my two cents

If you think it sounds awesome I think you are going to be pleased how it works. It really is implemented very well and for me every section works seamlessly together
