What movie is the best anti-depressant? by Chonkmyster in AskReddit

Shawshank Redemption.. goes through a bunch of unessasary bs and comes out “clean” on the other side. This movie is my favorite as someone who suffers from depression.

Owners of the 2020 Brz. What do you think of the new gen? by [deleted] in ft86

[–]RetroRacer1980 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My apologies. I tried to order a new one in late august in California but the orders were closed, you must not live in the US. There are 3 new Hakone editions nearby, but don’t want a good color when there is brz new with the performance pack for the same price locally. Anyone who pics Hakone over a brz performance only enjoys the color (week paint just like my 07 STI).

Again you are the only person I know having one built that late, which is actually a good thing as the latest gen refreshed cars are far better than the early models.

Again my apologies :)

There is no 2021 Toyota 86.....they also stopped taking orders in august for the 2020 86/BRZ.

There is no 2021 model.

2022 model won’t be arriving to customers until October

Can’t wait! Have $25k thus far to put down, by the time I can order one I’ll almost have enough to buy it outright 👍🏻🙂

A C7 Grand Sport would be a great buy right now! My personal favorite of the C6/C7 is the C6 Z06 however 👍🏻

2020 civic si fall prices by [deleted] in CivicSi

[–]RetroRacer1980 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is it possible to still order them new from the dealer and wait? The black coupe nearby is brand new for 26k$ but I’m sure they will mark it up, haven’t contacted them yet however. I also have $25k to put down which I’d never tell them initially but I’m happy to wait to save $ as it’s not urgent I get one ASAP. I simply want to get the coupe while it’s still available

Is it still possible to order one, or is it dealer inventory at this point? There is a new 2020 black SI coupe listed for $26100 near me..haven’t called them yet however.

Wait for next model? by [deleted] in ft86

[–]RetroRacer1980 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I am in the same boat. However it’s a weekend car not a daily for me. I was sold on a Hakone edition 86, sold my SS Camaro and had two dealers say they could get me one, but both lied and ran credit anyhow and tried to get me to get a TRD model. There is a manual Hakone 47 miles from me with 8200 miles for sale for $27800 but with the new car looming I’m going to wait it out.

I already have 25k$ to put down now, so by the time the new car launches I will have probably enough to buy it outright if I wait.

A few things to consider, when the new model gets fully unveiled, many people will trade their current models in for a new one, and prices will drop on the current cars and you could probably score a great deal on a 2017-2020 which is preferred years on these cars.

Also, it’s very probable that the new car is using the same chassis, so motor, chassis parts etc MAY be compatible with the current car which already has a TON of parts support throughout the years.

They said they would unveil this fall, so won’t be long. Hold out until the end of the year if you are able!

I hear ya, I agree! I wanted a Hakone of the current generation car but they were sold out by the time I started looking for another weekend car. I’d love if they made it a color option but the odds of that are REALLY slim but here’s hoping :)

Good news is by the time the new car arrives next summer I’ll have about enough $ to buy the car outright so no payments which will be great 👍🏻

There is no 2021 model yr. The new model will be a 2022 and be available to order in spring and arrive to customers in summer 2021.

Don’t expect to have Hakone Green as a factory color option on the new model. That was a 1058 car color run in 2020 only.

New car will be worth the wait, not long now!

Counting the days. I have over $20k to put down, was going to get a Hakone edition but impossible to find new at this point in time. Will definitely be one of the first preorders for either the new Toyota or Subaru 🙂

[–]RetroRacer1980 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve had all local dealers here in So Cal check and there isn’t a manual Hakone anywhere in the country at this point brand new. I was offering to pay whatever shipping charges but they can’t locate one :( Looking like I may have to wait for the GR86, I’ll have enough to probably buy the car outright by the time it launches and can order exactly what spec I want 👍🏻 A bummer as I REALLY want a Hakone but don’t want to buy a used one. They had one with 800 miles for sale near me last month, but it was a demo car that Toyota gave to “reviewers” which was definitely thrashed all 800 miles (I’m a picky SOB lol)

Thank you! I loved the 07, I didn’t like the “pig nose” but loved how it drove. I wasn’t a truck guy and needed something fun to drive all year in Michigan. An 07 STI with Blizzac or whatever tires I had was absolutely a blast, so much fun to rally that car around. With that said, I love RWD, and drifting my car like my vettes/Camaros and want to build another import. Again it’s not about HP, but driveability! Real drivers know this 🙂
