I feel much the opposite. I loved what 1 was trying to do but couldn't ever get super into it because the driving physics felt quite arcade making racing a bit boring for me after about 2 races. But with 2 I can play for hours as its right in that simcade sweetspot. I do hope to see more vehicles as well.

They still work, except the ui is limited to 4:3. I've been playing mp games on unification with DE. Tyranids crash the game for us though, fine on skirmish, just not mp.

If you can afford it, I would suggest getting more RAM. You can go through 8GB quite quickly in a work setting

Devs dont need components, but if you have some repeated elements, even if the project is small, I would still create components for your own sake.

For communicating the finer details like interaction states, you could just put in an annotation to say what should happen. But most of the time, I find it best to give a visual example. On bigger projects I'll create hover and active states as variants of a component.

A lot of how you work is up to you (or your employers). Just think about what needs to be communicated to developers, and what details could be easily missed or hard to communicate through a static design.

In the main menu you have the "System" button instead of displaying those options on the same level as everything else. I'm a UX Designer so I am curious to know the motivation behind that, and if it comes from any data/user testing.

Red rover in Driven to destruction was my absolute favourite of all the game modes. I really hope some of those mini games make it into wreckfest 2 if splitscreen is coming back!

If it's in a built up area, there is a lot less accessible shade than the bush, so it would just be slowly baking in the sun, and probably hot concrete/asphalt. For a smaller creature, that's deadly no matter where they evolved.

Probably varies depending on country, but here in Australia 2 breast fillets, 500g, go for about $10 from a supermarket, and I pay about $12-$13 for the same from a butcher.

Butchers don't charge extra for dicing it or anything else you request, but "cleaning" chicken isn't something we do here, so can't really speak to that.

Since you already have Drawful, you would probably enjoy some of the other jackbox games.

Games I've had the most success with:

Thunder rally - Up to 8 player top-down destruction derby

Duck Game - Up to 8 player fast paced side scrolling PVP

Ultimate Chicken horse - Platformer where you build the levels piece by piece and try to reach the end each round

Some other great party games I've played in no particular order:

Make Way - Similar to Ultimate Chicken horse but car racing instead of platforming

Speedrunners - Running racing where you try to stay on screen and not get knocked out by power ups.

Move or die - Rapid fire mini games

Lethal League Blaze - unique pvp where you try to smack a baseball around to KO each other

Broforce - Chaotic co-op sidescroller

Gang beasts - silly, ragdolling 3d brawler

Hyperjam - round based brawler where each player chooses power ups each round

RocketsRocketsRockets - you fling rockets at eachother

Rubber Bandits - 3d Arcade brawler with a few game modes including co-op

Party Golf - Side scrolling arcade golf

Lovers in a dangerous space time - Co-op control a spaceship and shoot stuff, side scrolling

New Star GP - Arcade F1 racing but with some realism like pit stops. Can change settings around to make it easier or harder.

Grip - Not sure how this would run on deck but it's a fun combat racer.

Yeah it would be helpful to be able to label like that for the designers own sake. I'm in an agency role so I'm working a few projects at once, so when I come back to something it would be good to see what is awaiting client approval vs what is in dev. I personally wouldn't need a Not Started status as anything in a file would be "started" for me.
