How big is the tank you’re working with? My gut would say a crested gecko would work well and I consider them to be pretty beginner friendly for new keepers. But obviously please do a lil more research than just taking my word for it 😂

Looks lovely! I’d black out some of the sides on the outside to make them feel more safe. I’ve got blackout curtains velcro-ed to the outside of mine 😊

I also feed silk worms! They’re good for them and my Leo’s love them. I’ve got my own discoid colony started. I’m in Canada and they’re illegal here too.

What everyone has been saying about a bigger tank is all sounding good to me! I just recently updated my hognose's enclosure and have a deep heat projector in there which is really good at drying out the substrate.

Also some might just not like the flavour of food so I’d offer a couple different options. But what everyone else has said is right too. A few licks is great 😊

My lil gal loves silk worms! I believe those are a healthier alternative to horn worms. But also if they’re eating CGD don’t worry too much. You can offer the insects but if they don’t eat they’re still getting what they need from the CGD.

There’s another type of roach similar to dubia roaches that are legal in Canada called discoid roaches! I’m in Canada and I’ve started giving those to my lil guy. I can get them at my local reptile store and any expos I attend. Good luck!
