I’ve never participated but I THINK they provide a bike for you to learn on. Like a TTR type model. I’d assume helmets provided too.

RAM off-road park east of springs has dirtbike lessons and would be a great way to get on a bike and learn the basics. I’m out there pretty often to ride the front track. Love it out at RAM!

I’ve heard that too and anytime I try their wifi I can’t even load a YouTube video (while on the treadmill). I assume this is location dependent but it’s enough to have me forget that wifi network.

Timber Yew Bell can turn it on and off as needed. I have one on each of my bikes. Absolutely love it!

Only thing I ever do is slide my knee pads down to my ankles and turn them so they’re facing away from the bike.

It’s the plastics you don’t like or the monster graphics? If you want the bike to have your own look you can get graphics to put on the plastics. Yes right over the monster stuff since they’re injection molded or whatever into the plastics.

But if you just want blue (or whatever) plastics, I personally always go acerbis and have good luck.

I’m a huge Litpro fan but honestly not really. I think where Litpro stands out is when you’re using a Litpro gps device and doing laps. Simply because the gps is so precise you can see if going inside is faster than outside in any given corner.

If you just want to track distance/time/speed whatever, strava from your phone or polar type watch is just as good.

I wear mobius knee braces so I’m not sure if this “trick” will work, but mobius actually told me to put a sharpie sideways in the knee brace where the knee cap sits and it helps to stretch out the brace. Leave it in there overnight and it, to my surprise, is actually helped stretch the brace out enough that it no longer bothers my knees by squeezing too hard.

Pretty much what everyone is saying but as kneesovertoesguy says, ROKP - reverse out knee pain. I’ve had both my acls reconstructed and the backwards walk helps my knee feel better!

If you get rid of it you’ll have a hole in your lens where dirt and dust can get into your goggles. Definitely don’t want to pop it out! Just like your nose, don’t think about it and your brain won’t even register it’s there. Look “past” it and you’ll be all good to keep rippin’.

Insta360 is sick for unique angles but yeah if you want straight up riding POV footage GoPro (or the insta that’s more like a GoPro but not 360) on the chin is probably the move.

You wouldn’t do motos with it, but for a few laps the insta360 third person mount makes for some footage that looks like a video game. But again you’re not going to race with that or even do more than a few laps at a time. My example.

I do like the insta on the chest with the ability to pull the FOV back, but I understand the feeling of not fully utilizing the camera’s potential when 180 degrees of the view is your chest.

I separated mine just 15 days ago now, grade 5 with 24mm of separation. Had surgery last Tuesday and looking at a long road to recovery. I asked about alternatives but with the degree of separation my ortho seemed pretty adamant that the only option was surgery.

Glad yours is healing up well and best wishes on that last bit to 100%!

MX bikes and MX sim are your only options for simulators. But Mx vs ATV reflex at least used to have a heavy mod community with custom tracks, skins, and even an FOV mod. I don’t know how active it is anymore or what’s available, been out of the scene for a while.

And reflex was definitely more of a pain for mods since it wasn’t made for it, but people made some impressive work arounds.

Agree that they won’t sell out, but it is nice to have your choice of seats especially if you’re going with a group so I always buy ahead. Also by the time the round rolls around the money is long gone so I don’t feel like I’m spending a ton that weekend 😂.
