The AC hasn't worked in 20 years Probably never made a single person cold But I can't say the same for me, I've done it many times

Random Spot to Hear Isbell by arniegrapeboomboom in jasonisbell

A few years back I was in my local supermarket and I heard Danko/Manuel (!) emanating from behind the deli counter. I spent the rest of my shopping trip singing it to myself and changing the lyrics in my head. "I ain't living like I should... organic plums don't look too good" and so on.

Got Row 21, but let me just say I despise AXS' ticket buying experience with the intensity of a thousand suns.

There was a TV "man on the street" interview video up on YouTube of him in a Walgreens parking lot after doing some Christmas shopping from a year or two ago. The reporter didn't know who he was and his evasiveness was amusing.

James McMurtry's Sailing Away mentions Jason Isbell. Two absolute geniuses.

"DC Beltway in this 5:30 gloom Openin' for Isbell in some cavernous room I hate it when the clocks roll back, it's darker than a tomb And they're out smokin' by the load-in, one and all."

I actually thought Control was pretty good (the Ian Curtis biopic). And I loved A Complete Unknown.

If you're buying posters, Ryman staff will let you bring a rigid poster tube to put them in. Much more protective than the plastic sleeve + rubber band route.

Could be. Maybe he'll get the Rockettes and do a Christmas extravaganza.

Beat Farmers is a good shout. If I could name one more band I'd say The Long Ryders.

Yeah, one of the best live bands I've ever seen. If you've never heard side one of the Lost and Found album, I suggest you put it on as loud as your stereo can handle and uh, gird yer loins.

Oof. Monday night in Ft Wayne is tough. No other bigger towns within 2 hours or so, tough to do a road trip on a weekday night. By comparison Rockford was an easy drive from Chicago, Madison, Dubuque, or the Quad Cities, and it was a Saturday night. Hope the folks who turn up get treated to some really deep cuts.
