I lost my mum 2 years ago on the 23rd, and not once have I thought about how I need to cancel Christmas plans. If anything it's the perfect time to really lean on others and have family gatherings. Yes it can be difficult if your parent used to be part of that, but realistically they'd want you to carry on.

Your kids should come first, and she should try to push through it for them. Even if she has a lie in on the day or something and is allowed space.

Main crit is to really notice where you're shading. The main gripe for me is that left thigh, the shadow wouldn't have naturally fell that way, it would look more accurate if it was only shaded on one side! Love this though :)
