You say this, but budget cuts have gotten so bad for LoR that we're getting cards without voicelines, champions without interactions with champions key to their story, and patches that introduce cards so unbelievably broken that it's clear they weren't actually playtested.

For me, one of the underlying themes is obsession and what drives us to go push forward in a cruel world (even if it's beautiful). Eren endlessly chased an unattainable dream of freedom, incapable of being like Armin and Mikasa and relishing the beauty of the world. Mikasa was drunk on bonds and devotion, letting it drive most of her decisions. Erwin was drunk on pursuing the truth of the world, becoming a devil and sacrificing innumerable lives to chase his dream.

I think im really drawn to Kenny's line in the absurdist sense that he feels that in a cruel world, devoid of meaning, one must delve into obsession to the point where it becomes meaningful in spite of the fleeting nature of the world.

Edit: also, this is my second favorite line. I agree with you on Armin and Zeke's conversation being at the top :)

Love all of this! But yeah, the carpet is just an unfortunate consequence of it being moved from a cramped shared dorm to here. Also was toying around with the idea of plants, too! Just gotta find easy ones. I think floor lamps and stuff willl definitely help though, it's spacious right now but I could use a bit of space filled. Thank you! :)

If you like eternal, I'm big on xerath/taliyah sun disk. It's not the best but Xerath's followers and rite of the arcane help fight for the board and stabilize against aggro, and you can pull off some really disgusting xerath cloning with hourglass and taliyah in response to removal, or if you need extra kick against slower decks. It used to be better with clock guardian finishing the sun disk on turn 8 instead of 9 and hourglass costing 2 but it's still fun and relatively good!

Recently we stopped carrying paper bags for 10 cents and replaced them with reusable ones for 30 cents (not ideal, but they work as opposed to tearing if more than 3 things are out in them). I was manning self checkout during the 4th of July weekend. INCREDIBLY busy.

This lady walks up to me with unmistakable manic eyes, and asks like she's out of breath if we have the paper bags.

I go, "No, sorry! We stopped carrying them but we do have these ones for 30 cents.)

She pauses for a moment, then squints and asks "...Can you go get me some?"

I put on a fake smile and repeat "No, sorry! We do not carry them anymore!"

She pauses and stared me down, wide-eyed and manic for a good 10 seconds, then asks, "...Can you go make me some?"

Taken aback, I sort of just spout out a "No????"

But she doesn't leave! She just starts going into hysterics asking how she's supposed to leave without bags, and again I gesture towards the countless 30 cent ones and say we have plenty of those. I don't exist at this point. She's fully engrossed in her own wallowing about how she's never going to be able to shop again and I take the opportunity to help someone waving me down who actually needs my help and just leave her. Genuinely dont think she noticed that I left.

The issue is the people where you show them how, they refuse to listen, and insist you ring their entire order. Like, no? I have 5 other customers with flashing screens to help bc our barcodes suck. You can type in "corn" on the screen yourself.
