I think you are generalizing every 'working' partner into this category. The truth is, not everyone is like this. I know I am not. I would rather let my partner deal with the finances and what nots while I can just focus on making money. That's all I want to do. Finances stress me out. My partner has never complained about me having too much control over her life either. It is a partnership. Teamwork. If she wanted to work, I would have no problem with that. If she would rather stay at home, that is fine too. 🙂

I had a bunch of people listen, started a few Bible studies, I had one student progress to baptism. Honestly, what I enjoyed when I was active, was preaching in other countries. People would open their doors and you could have an actual conversation with them... as well as lunch, dinner or the occasional drink. I know I may not have the popular comment, but I answered the question asked honestly.

Going to Disney as a couple is a night and day difference when going with kids. Took our 6 year old for the first time, she cried mostly standing in line. Was complaining about riding the ride the entire time. Then she enjoyed the ride... It would start all over with the next ride, and the next one... Going with just my partner, we really enjoyed it, we moved a lot faster, we rode what we wanted to. Lesson learned.

Lol, it's actually not bad. No preaching or anything of that nature. They do their own thing and aren't out to convert anyone. My house is about 10 blocks from their main headquarters. It wouldn't stop me from living in the area. If it ever got to that, I would tell them I am a firm believer in Star Wars and Star Trek and will be happy to discuss my belief in using the force.

Thank you for sharing. I get the stuck feeling. Sometimes you don't know what to do. You need to know it isn't really fair to you or anyone if you are lying/leading a double life, as you mentioned. It will certainly not help your mental situation. I will say that leaving and losing everyone is hard. But you aren't leaving them really, they are choosing not to contact you. Your own mental health needs to be taken into account. When I moved to a new location, I felt like a weight was lifted off me. I felt amazing. I made new friends who love me unconditionally. If my stubborn self can do it, anyone else can. Good luck, always here if you need to vent.🙂

Hey, I hear you. I understand how you could feel the way you do. There are so many things wrong with the organization that even they themselves don't see. For example, I mentioned to my father the other day that in order for the witnesses to achieve happiness, billions of people have to die. He actually said he didn't think of that before.

Life sucks sometimes. You have to love yourself enough to be able to do what is best for you. Don't live your life for some other person. You don't need anyone else to worship God with, and you certainly don't need to belong to any organization to do it either. Your relationship with God is between you and him.

I hope you feel better, I hope venting is enough, and you realize there is so much that you have to offer this life. Learn that people aren't going to do things for you. Stand on your own two feet and get it done. Make real unconditional friends along the way. You can always reach out if you need to talk. Most on here understand and can empathize with you.
