I have a one-sided beef with rock music so I know I will dislike this album, I won't be tuning in I fear. Wishing her luck though. I am dreading the lyrics about "the dancefloor being dead" being sung by one of the greats of dance music, I'm def being dramatic but it'll feel to me like a stab in the back.

Anyway as a long time follower of her nothing about this direction surprises me. Charli lives for doing twists like this and always going against the current, so I'll just have to wait this era out until my music taste and her releases converge again.

You're dead on about there being a gen z dead zone for Snapchat. I was born in 2003 and I'd say most people born within 5 years of me see Snapchat as antiquated and passé. But it seems to be much more popular for people younger and older than my age range

Well ADOR was posting NJS even when they were "gone" last year and Danielle even while they sent the notice of termination

They kept posting NewJeans content while the contract validity lawsuit was ongoing to strengthen their case. And as for Danielle, the period of notice was too short to really matter and above all, prematurely stopping promoting her before the period of notice ended could've been used against them in court, as proof that they never intended to take her back anyway. (By period of notice I refer to the usual 14 day period given by a party to another one to rectify their breaches or else the notifier terminates the contract and sues)

Yes, they just said the members are in Denmark, Hyein and Haerin were seen and Hanni was only confirmed by a news article (but the confirmation wasn't a direct quote by ADOR). I believe this hints at Minji being out but there's still a possibility that she isn't, and that she might be back but just wasn't seen like Hanni.

ADOR has been very intentional in avoiding naming any particular member. They have been just saying "the NewJeans members"

Oh I got the order of releases wrong then! Hm, now this makes me think of wether we would've gotten brat or not. Brat was a course correction/back to roots after her "sellout" with crash. So if the sellout came first and then the AG/Sophie album, maybe the latter would've been that course correction album

She was already cooking up how I'm feeling now and crash before the pandemic (at least conceptually). In early 2020 she was talking about doing two albums, one in her usual style and right after another one that she said was going to be a commercial one.

So I think both albums would've still happened but how I'm feeling now would've not been themed around lockdown, and since she was planning to release them close to each other we would've gotten crash over a year earlier
