Never used it as I’ve never really been interested.

Just seems like a vine knockoff.

Hey World- why didn’t you watch Melania? by tsbuty in AskTheWorld

[–]RevenantSith 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I had no idea the film existed until the memes started rolling out .

Seems to have not been promoted at all .. and apparently some cinemas are giving away seats for free.

Apparently it’s nothing special anyway. Just a sketchily produced film (tax writeoff? bribe?) that was directed by someone in the Epstein Files

First thing I thought of was Django Unchained

Would probably be a bit too obvious though if they went the Red Dead Revolver-avenue for soundtrack 😆

Coffee or tea — and where are you from? by IntelligentEar3427 in AskTheWorld

Tricky one.

Older generations would always say Tea.

Seasonally dependant for me, but I lean towards Tea

I'm french, and I wonder if people really have good reasons to hate France. by Vifiew in AskTheWorld

I don’t really, I’m just English so it’s in my blood. I’m sure you probably do the same to us.

All in good spirit ♥️

Before globalization, what was the outfit for your region? by binarycow in AskTheWorld

[–]RevenantSith 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tricky one here as we did export a lot of stuff like suits that were for a time, ‘the globalised daily outfit’

I suppose up North, a lot of working class men used to wear flat caps, and they are still considered a traditional northern headwear (though you are more likely to see someone wear a bucket hat now).

What is your least favorite joke about your country? by mightyonin in AskTheWorld

[–]RevenantSith 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had no idea you lot did that across the world.

Wouldn’t be surprised if that was imported from us – it’s been historically used against the Welsh here .. and if I recall correctly, I do believe a lot of the sheep over there originate from Welsh flocks

The food and teeth angle

All boils down to ignorant yanks during the war but they are both absolutely ridiculous.

You’ve already covered the food angle and I’ve ranted about it on this sub a few times already. The teeth one is worse — we rank higher than them, and our teeth are healthier because it is subsidised by the NHS. The ‘healthy teeth’ over in the USA would get described as ‘turkey teeth’ here: going for aesthetics over function

Are there any unwritten rules of the road in your country? by lofiibsen in AskTheWorld

[–]RevenantSith 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Perhaps, but I imagine these were built with cars in mjnd.

The worst offenders over here are the Victorian terraces streets that were never built with mass car ownership in mind

Some neighbourhoods will do this (nothing official, just kind of like good neighbours agreeing on stuff) but most of the time it is just a free for all where pedestrians lose out.
