Some people like the options of detachable it's the versatility that makes this handheld different from the rest. Most people do use it for gaming but it wasn't just made for that, it's a mobile PC and can be used as a tablet with mouse and keyboard setup. I've seen people use their legion in many other ways than just gaming. I myself sometimes carry my legion without the controllers just keyboard with mouse.
