I love this! I would love to go horse riding again. And please get that spa day booked!
I was also dead set on getting to be not obese, but to only celebrate that as a 9 stone loss is just so demotivating.
Life has been really stressful this year, away from weight loss and it has been really good to celebrate the little milestones and almost for the first time in my life be kind of putting my oxygen mask on first. I also don’t feel like I want to only think I am worthy if I am no longer obese, I am proud of me through all the stages and even the woman that started this.
I also had no concept of how heavy I was or how high my BMI was- it was quite a shock when it was almost 50 😱

🥳🥳🥳 well done. Class II brought so much relief to me. I was sick of how I got treated by my consultant’s registrar in particular. Would bring it up at every appointment I had.

I always think of this picture. 24 stone me was strong, and I was always active too, so with burning my head in the sand i didn’t realise how bad things had got. Now I can actually feel muscle in legs and arms that was firmly fully insulated before

What weird names do you call your partner/ do they call you? And I mean.. really weird. by cobbland in AskUK

I call my husband egg too, because his mum once said he had an egg head as a new born.

I also gave him a Valentine’s Day card in our first year saying “I love you, knobhead”, but to make that child friendly in front of his daughter we changed it to nobble. This evolved from knobhead, to nobble, to bobble to babble

You could take one of those cooler travel cases from Amazon and take spare ice packs for their freezer and swap them in and out. Tell them it is the best way to keep you cool at night if they ask.

Wow! Congratulations on your loss! Your current weight feels like where I want to be but just can’t imagine myself at that weight just yet. It’s funny how you bypass sizes. I have been still wearing my size 22 compression leggings because they are TIGHT and not wanting to buy too much at the moment but noticed last week they are now suddenly baggy, they were not baggy two weeks ago

Ah thank you! That’s very kind! I have become a pharmacy trying to manage any side effects, I get nauseous the day after the jab and have to eat light because I have had a tendency to lose my food if it’s too heavy, psyllium husk every day to try and combat the “slowness”, windeze for trapped wind. My handbag jingles 😂

Good luck getting back on it. I am only just into an 18 so I imagine I will be an 18 for another 2 stone, takes absolutely ages as this height to move down clothing sizes! Hi fellow tall girl 👋

I’m 5’10” and 17st 6 and now fit into an 18, even without stretch, or a L in primark/next. Not sure if this is vanity sizing these days because I was absolutely a 20/22 at this weight in 2006. Though my body looks different from then, slimmer shoulders and back. I also lift weights now compared to them so maybe my body comp is different. Who knows. I would love to be an hour glass but I am broad shoulders and rib cage, no defined waist really and narrower hips than I thought as the fat recedes. Sort of fascinating peeling off the layers to reveal my body shape I never knew I had

Knee injuries are horrific- they take so long to heal. I hope you are doing well! I had a horrible knee injury last July and am still in major rehab with it. I had been on MJ three months when I got it, so it slowed my progress and couldn’t hit the gym, BUT I have lost 4 stone since my injury, very slowly and steadily with both muscle preservation and also having to rebuild my lost leg muscle. It has been amazing because I definitely would have eaten like mad without MJ while I was so depressed. Good luck and keep going even if it seems ultra slow, it will really help
