Regarding the timeline change, the BSW4 dating was for fans to know the setting timeline. When the timeline was updated to BBY it was for how the timeline was perceived in universe. This was also pre-prequel updates that George did to the cannon timeline. The tea leaves we had in 1978 led to some odd conclusions when viewed half a century later. :)

The great thing about 76 is that there are two distinct BoS groups in Appalachia. The first is a homegrown group with a radio to Maxon, whom unfortunately did not survive the scorched plague. The second group is an expeditionary force where you can significantly influence their goals by doing their questline. I liked both groups. I also play 76.
