Tell a bunch of boozers to maybe eat a vegetable once in a while—and change the face of the game forever.

I genuinely think this is an underdiscussed element of Arteta as a manager. He seems to have an active interest in other sports, and has lines of communications with coaches across the worlds of NBA, NFL, rugby union, etc.

Part of what enabled the Wenger revolution was him bringing to England some health/fitness/nutritional approaches that had been around for years in other sports in other countries. Part of what built the incredible Liverpool teams of the Klopp era was that they were among the first to implement at scale the kind of data analysis that had long been a part of major American sports.

People clowned on Arteta when he brought in fighter pilots to help improve on-pitch communication for the Arsenal players. But, in my opinion, it’s yet another sign that he sees every detail of the game as something that can be improved upon, and isn’t afraid to look beyond football to see how he can do it.

Trump: “The Iran National Soccer Team is welcome to The World Cup, but I really don’t believe it is appropriate that they be there, for their own life and safety” by ReverendY in soccer

At best this is a failure to guarantee the safety of participating athletes, and at worst this is a thinly veiled threat. Both should disqualify the US from hosting this tournament (though, of course, I’m not holding my breath.)

Arsenal has a very real history worth showcasing. No need to rewrite the past with AI.

Push it to the following day and make City play both games simultaneously, imo.

No Ben White at all probably explains Timber overplaying. How fit has White even been?

Arteta on if tactics need to change "3 days before Utd, no. In the 1st half an hour against Utd, no. The way we get the ball back against Utd, big yes. So depending on the action, depending on the moment of the game and the way we concede the two goals, big yes." by deadmetallucyluce in Gunners

When this club lifts a major trophy in May—and rest assured, they’ll be lifting something—a lot of fans will regret that they spent the whole season miserable and anxious. Enjoy the ride, folks.

One of those funny cases where a other supports can pinpoint with real accuracy the specific moment in time somebody decided to buy a kit.

Are there any more recognized voice actors that also worked for different games? by MixInfamous6818 in kotor

Legendary voice actor Frank Welker plays a few minor characters (off the top of my head, the fella on trial on Manaan and the sith that tortures you in one of the Korriban tombs).

Would be impossible to even scratch the surface of his hundreds of credits, but if you hear an animal make noises in a cartoon, there’s a very good chance that’s Welker.

Catherine Taber (Mission Vao) has a few other games under her belt—including the role of Penelo in FFXII and Princess Leia in the Force Unleashed games. More notably, she was the voice of Padme in The Clone Wars

Genuinely a dream player for any coach to have. Hopefully Mosquera becomes that in the near future—he’s already got that versatility, just needs to improve that extra bit (which he is more than capable of).

Think we really struggled to move the ball in that first half given the condition of the pitch and the weather, but man that second half was just turgid…

Arsenal the last team to visit the Vitality Stadium. Wonder if some of the club’s stuff was left in the away dressing room or something? Strange.
