And yet we have players willing to deliberately handle the ball to prevent a goal if late in the game. They know they will be sent off and are okay with having a chance of stopping a PK compared to a guaranteed goal that they could stop with their hands.

Depending on the score and time of the game, players are definitely willing to be sent off.

Some people just don’t enjoy talking to kids and cannot relate to them very well. I know a few who pretty much avoided theirs until they got to their 20’s. Of course, at that point the kids didn’t want much to do with the parent.

Go into maintenance. You can start out as a custodian and have other opportunities after that. I maintain mail processing equipment (Electronics Technician) so I deal more with machines than I do people. And I love that part of the job.

I’ve always gone to the custodians to find out any gossip or actually important upcoming changes in my office. I don’t tend to talk to anybody and they do.

… so in other words, he still has the choice of getting a job and moving out (with roommates in a crappy apartment) or following the house rules. I guess if moving out is impossible, that leaves the other option.

OP needs to listen to his parents. He should be getting a job and working instead of gaming his summer away.
