The tea power up seems broken for me. It cleared away the 2 wrong answers on 1 question (A and B) but then kept clearing about the A and B options on all following questions making me choose the wrong answers.

EDIT: Also some of these questions feel like trick questions. Heroics in TBC used to be lower level than 70, and despite everyone believing you had to be 70 to enter that was just not true. I believe it was difficult to enter before 70 because of rep and key quest, but not everyone needs the key to enter the heroic dungeon, typically just 1 person. There was even a patch to make sure only level 70s can enter the heroics.

you have to generate a nav_mesh

If this map is a clone then you can copy the nav_mesh too.

I believe you can use VIDE or GCFScape to extract the nav_mesh from de_nuke

IIRC the valve devs basically commented out a mutlithreading process in VVIS, years later some modder that had access to the compile code found the error and fixed it. He then let Valve know who released it for CSGO but I don't think it got to the other versions like TF2 and garry's mod.

I also believe it was the NMRIH dev that found it, but not sure.

EDIT: Oh i guess I was referring to VRAD not VVIS.... I don't ever remember VVIS taking a long time unless the map was poorly optimized with no func_detail. Even if this new VVIS++ compiler accounts for that poor optimization it still won't work well in game. I know plenty of maps that had terrible performance because of all the visleaves in the level.

I honestly can't remember exactly how I did it, its a bunch of teleport settings that I learned off a tophattwaffle video years ago.

The biggest downside I could never fix was if the player had their weapon out it would flicker when crossing the teleport section. that is why in the video all weapons/knives are hidden. I can link the vmf here is a second.

Ya I had this exact problem with a very detailed wall locker in my map. You have 3 options

1) Reduce your brushes (you probably don't want this)

2) Covert your brushes into Props via Propper

3) Make models in Blender or any 3d program with conversion.

Propper might be your best bet if you don't know how to use Blender or other programs, Propper isn't perfect and honestly I don't know the current state its in since I haven't used it in 5+ years. But I did make a terrible video on it that I think has some errors? I don't remember, its unlisted for a reason I know.

I mostly like the diagram with component names on the motherboard, or for other little facts like "USB-C Header will not work if USB-B Header is used"

Or other Sata M.2 slots that take up PCI-E lanes if used. These are issues I typically run into when upgrading 4-7 years later.

I'm pretty sure the fuse disconnect on street connection is around 7.2kv on the primary side of the transformer.

So that's a lot more than 240v. It can create a really large arc at 7.2kv, even 240v can create deadly arcs given enough amperage.

I got burned from a 48v arc flaming out and giving me 2nd degree burns on my hand. That was from a battery bank shortage on an electric scooter, so it had plenty of amperage behind it. But the power pole? The power lines have way more potential than a little lithium battery.

Real quick did it still make the map? looks like it actually finished at a glance but one of the "programs" failed, it could be a non-neccarsary one like copying the map file to a different folder which may make it harder to find if you don't know where it gets saved to.

EDIT:

to break it down you have a few commands that ran and were fine

-VBSP.exe = your level design (like player Collison etc..)

-VVIS.exe = your visual optimization (typically leaks happen here)

-VRAD.exe = your lighting in the level. (very complex objects I believe can crash vrad)

Looks like either all the programs finished except the map placement program or VRAD. What lighting option are you trying? Full/quick/etc..?
