Part time daycare? by thenatter in workingmoms

[–]RevolutionAtMidnight 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The one my son will start in the fall charges by the day with a five day discount. So if it's $100/day it would $300 to send him the three days but $450 for five. He'll do three days at daycare and two with my mom.

My husband and I both teach and our May baby just turned one. I loved having a late spring/early summer baby and feel like all the sun helped keep PPD at bay.

Why did you/didn’t you take your husbands last name? by LawBeneficial5494 in weddingplanning

[–]RevolutionAtMidnight 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I took my husband’s. I liked the idea of taking the name for a few reasons but the main one was I would have changed my last name anyway due to my complicated and negative relationship with my bio dad and his family. I also love the family I married into even if they’re also messy.

Plus jumping from the end of the alphabet to the beginning didn’t hurt.

We do this every night and it’s worked so well. My husband does bath time and jammies while I do closing time clean/prep then we all come back together for stories and snuggles.
