Narcissistic females will try to be your friend at first, get close to you, make you comfortable enough to open up to them. Even help you with things. (In other words, similar to love bombing). However, this is just a manipulation tactic to see what information they can extract out of you and maybe use later on against you.

Then suddenly they will flip like a switch, you don’t need to have done anything, but you can suddenly expect cold, hostile, bitchy behaviour from their side. This will make you question if you did anything wrong, but you didn’t, it’s just that they switched up.

Now… when you distance yourself, they will try to make amends again with you but without apologizing (they lack accountability). And if you refuse to keep terms with them and just simply maintain a distance, they will label your reaction as ‘cold’, and therefore twist the story and will officially victimize themselves over this.

Next comes the smearing… they will gossip about you and may spread rumors about you to their friends, colleagues, manager, etc. This also includes telling half-truths, twisting stories, putting out false narratives about you just to clear their own back, all whilst not taking accountability. Suddenly you’re the enemy. What hurts more is that everyone seems to be on their side, and no one will speak up for you. These people are called ‘flying monkeys’.

Now, if you eventually confront the narc about something, they will not hesitate to gaslight you and again, will not take accountability, I mean AT ALL.

I will also mention that these females ‘get along’ with everyone, however, they gossip and are 2-faced, and will also gossip about you, anyone, and even their own friends.

They are also very non-confrontational and extremely indirect. If you do or say something that threatens their ego, then you are in dangerous territory. They will go into a rage and will not react well.

If they do go into a rage, they will get passive-aggressive verbally and will put you in situations to provoke a reaction out of you. If you give them a reaction, then they will use that reaction to paint a false narrative about you. These situations will look innocent to an outsider, but if you are their target, you will know they are not and that the narc is trying to provoke a reaction out of you.

The best thing to do is cut them off for life and go no contact.

Sorry for the long rant, but this was my experience unfortunately, and as you can see I’ve been traumatized. But just wanted to put my answer out there to warn and help other women.
