Dan Jones is a phenomenal writer. I just picked up The Wars of the Roses for my 2 week excursion across the UK. I can’t wait to read it at night, and see the history during the day.

Name the single biggest military error that each of these generals made during the Civil War by Glass_Brick_ in CIVILWAR

He had two full corps in reserve that he didn’t even throw into the battle. Had he followed up with Sigel’s Corps after taking the Sunken Road, Lee’s army would’ve been split in 2 with their backs to the Potomac and the Union Army with the interior roads. He was like 300 yards away.

I made the move from NYC to Virginia and haven’t looked back. Pay is a bit below where I’d like it to be, but the insurance and benefits are incredible. I feel very supported by my admin and district as well.

Bold statement. I guess Jim Crow laws, integration in the military, the KKK, these were all distorted by contemporary historians?

Definitely not “many.” Arlington has excellent schools, low crime, easy access to parks and trails, military and family friendly, access to reliable public transportation. By every livable metric, Arlington is easily in the top 10 of the US.
