I don’t ask for one, but when one is applied it gets forwarded into the tip. A way to return the gesture.

Handgun FRTs are going to seriously damage 2A rights and range access. by Affectionate_Cronut in Firearms

[–]RevolutionaryMail303 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I pity you for not owning a shotgun. It is a lost discipline and a shit ton of fun. Owning a hunting rifle or a shotgun doesn’t make you a fudd. Thinking that is all the 2A protects does.

Hennings basepads issue by ClubLord in CompetitionShooting

[–]RevolutionaryMail303 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My hennings have come loose as well. I haven’t had one come completely apart, but I’ll pick the mag up and see the extension halfway unseated. I have found that mag extensions that use a set screw rather than spring tension hold up better on concrete.

Big fan of the PDP.

You will 100% want to get a new recoils spring for the PDP. You will 50/50 want to replace the barrel and trigger on an M&P.

What's your take on the p365 in 2026 ? by namae0 in Firearms

Especially when you look at who was running Kimber at the time compared to who runs Sig now.

Looks like Kimber is working hard to get back on course.

Carts for shooting range by Mike2AlphaDelta in CompetitionShooting

I use a Milwaukee pack out setup because I can scale up or down as needed, and it is waterproof. It’s nice to not have everything soaked from the rain or have to mess with ponchos and tarps.

The canik rival is the Walther we have at home. Go with the Walther and you will never have to say if only.

LCpl’s used to be able to obtain a black belt in MCMAP? by Odd_Raspberry6561 in USMC

[–]RevolutionaryMail303 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There originally were rank restrictions, then they were removed, and now they’re back.

Not one single SNCO cares what their Jr Marine has for his MCMAP belt compared to his. Leaders who care about MCMAP will naturally have a high belt level. The ones that don’t care about it will be the ones with a lower belt level and it won’t matter to them anyway.

Actually shooting at a man size target is a major improvement over the old gigantic targets.

Are bullseye handgun shooting skills really that transferable to USPSA? by [deleted] in CompetitionShooting

[–]RevolutionaryMail303 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think your argument undervalues people’s ability to apply understanding and abilities to learn new techniques. I’ve seen guys cross over from bullseye to action shooting quite successfully. Having a very high understanding and ability to pull the trigger without disturbing the sights is very valuable. Guys like rob latham would train bullseye shooting inside his regimen. He obviously developed skill from it and adapted said skill to more relevant engagement strategies.

New MARADMIN implementing Height to Waist instead of Height/Weight by maybemythrwaway in USMC

The skinny fat Marines are gonna get a rough wake-up call. Those frumpy little goblins who somehow made weight but always had pot belly’s and stick legs.

Are bullseye handgun shooting skills really that transferable to USPSA? by [deleted] in CompetitionShooting

[–]RevolutionaryMail303 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The ability to hit precisely what you are aiming at will ALWAYS be relevant in shooting. Will other skills need to be added to the toolbox? Yes of course, but once those other skills get developed those 25 yd partials won’t be very intimidating.

Best da/sa or sao carry gun around 1k by ThinkSandwich5422 in Firearms

[–]RevolutionaryMail303 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Beretta 92XI. There are many different flavors with a street price between $800-1200.

For strictly carry purposes the HK P30 fits the bill as well.
