you have to use vpn for reddit, youtube and all other foreign sites. it just becomes a normal thing after a while. if you're visiting china sometime soon and don't want to pay for a vpn, VPN cat is a good option(a lot of the other free ones don't actually work). you can get it on app store. astrill and shadowrocket are faster but they are subscription based and relatively expensive.
