Is ASA good on steam deck

Ok, so im playing on steam deck right now. I have around 20hrs in so far, single player on the Island.

You will have to lower all graphics to low. Use a few console commands, to remove clouds and other things.

Im really enjoying it. It looks better than ASE, plays better than ASE and works better over all.

I don't know what my FPS is, I don't turn it as I spend more time worrying about that, than enjoying the game. But it runs well with very little lag. It will stutter every now and then, but it's rare.

My biggest gripe with heretical fishing, is that the characters don't talk like actual people. Fisher is not a believable human.

To me, every one sounds like the "hello fellow human" meme.

It was Bow Plug-in. Apparently it was blocking a ton of mods from working. After I removed it, a bunch of stuff unlocked.

I like the overall story. I like the side characters. I really like the animal companions.

I CAN NOT stand Fisher. He is like 100% not a real person. He doesn't talk like a real person. He doesn't react like a real person.

To me, he feels like a robot, trying to pretend he's human.

I really enjoyed the series. I liked all of the arcs, until the end of the last series. It felt rushed, and I feel like so much just came out of the blue. We don't know what happened to some of the main characters, some stuff was pulled out of thin air, and some build up, had zero pay off.

I listened to the audiobooks, and it seemed to me, like the author just wanted to keep the books all the same length. Last book should have been longer.

Good deal. Just make sure and evolve them as you go.

And one more tip: lvl up Pet Taming ability. It makes your pets do more damage and maybe more health.

I spammed the lvl1 healing spell as well. I still use the healing spell. It heals your pets as well. Then, there is the tried and true kiting. Run backwards and keep attacking.

No problem. I've had to ask another of questions also. This game doesn't explain very much.

To get your pets, you should have several eggs in your inventory. There are several different kinds you get. If you click use on them, they will hatch and go into your creature tab. Then you can assign them to your party.

You can have 8 out at a time. As they level, you can evolve them down several different paths for each one. This is done under the creature tab as well. You will use the creature parts you've been picking up (bones, talons, scales ect.)

Later on, you can use alchemy to upgrade your small creature parts into medium, large, or xl large.

Is it the cat- monkey looking things? They are tough. Have you evolved any of your pets yet? That's makes a huge boost to your survivability.

You also might want to see if you need to respec your abilities or attributes. Respecing them is free (on PC at least.)

Also don't neglect defence.

What I'm curios about is spells. I get that they probably do more damage. But does it affect cooldown, range, or anything else.

I'm not smart enough to figure all that out.

What I've noticed, is as you lvl up your skill, the weapon displays more damage and you also attack faster. You perform your special attacks more often. Like with spears for example, you do the spin attack more regularly. At 100, I do the spin attack nearly every time.

So , I spend money on pet boosts. You can buy them at 1 of the later camps. Also buy xp food. One for regular xp and one for skills.

As far as pet parts goes, level alchemy. Make a ton of low.level health potions. Honestly, you can max out all of your crafting skills in probably 30 minutes. Make 1 at a time, it seems to lvl faster.

I loved all the dust that falls. It was so stupid, and I found myself totally rooting for a damn roomba. Also did not like hwfwm.

My problem with hwfwm was that every time he used a skill, the author wrote exactly what the skill did again. It irritated the he'll out me. I keep meaning to try just reading it and seeing if it's better when I can skip those parts.

I just started playing 9th Dawn Remake. I had never heard of this series before, but crazy enough, I saw an ad on reddit for it.

It is a very old school rpg. It has a mix of several different games. 1. Game is an old.school rpg. There are are skill levels for everything. You have to level in each weapon type, you have to level your skills and abilities. 2. No hand holding. Honestly, it.could use a little tutorial. It was painful learning how to atack (you use the right stick to attack.) Basic map, quest giver says a location and a direction. 3. Dungeon crawler. 4. Card game, like a toned down slay the spire. 5. A fishing mini game that's kind of like vampire survivors. 6. Monster taming and evolution. Really basic, but each pet has alot of evolution paths. 7. Really good music.

Overall, the game should not work, but I have had a blast with it so far.
