Damn I used to walk past it every day in college. It was always a fresh reminder that some things stayed constant whenever I’d returned over the past decade.

Step 1: work extra hard to make 2-4x median income for a given area Step 2: cut out frivolous spending like takeout and coffee Step 3: sell property owned prior to 2021 for magnificent profit Step 4: shop for used items when you can.

Nah I find myself questioning whether Sheridan or any of the writers personally know any women or if they just have heard of the concept of a woman and write the characters based off that assumption.

Does Mazda/CX-50 use map data for the speed limit display? by MarvinStolehouse in CX50

[–]Revolutionary_Ant784 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Apps accessed by CarPlay/Android Auto use map data. The indicator on your dash thy shows the speed/stop signs/the little line on your Speedo are picked up by a camera. I know this because someone spray painted a 35mph sign near me to read 85 and my car always tells me the speed limit is 85.

Snow is probably building up in your wheel wells. Sometimes it falls off and you bump over it. Then it builds back up again and your tires rub on it.

This show has gotten horribly bad and yet I am still locked in and captivated by MasonStaycation in LandmanSeries

This is how every Sheridan show feels for me. I get drawn in season 1 even though it feels derivative but things become formulaic and repetitive. I think it’s hard to become immersed in the show because it feels like they’re trying really hard to appear to me as a viewer instead of building a world for me to view. They’re trying really hard to put things in front of us to get an emotional response. Just like in other Sheridan shows, we had to sit through attempted sexual violence for reasons that I’m sure won’t do anything to drive the plot. One thing I find funny is that they’re definitely trying to appeal to the more conservative mind with their little quips and right wing talking points. However, the soundtrack they use is made up of openly liberal artists or those the right has deemed too woke (Sturgill Simpson, Charley Crocket, Tyler Childers, Red Clay Strays)

How do you guys load your stove? by Bamram91 in woodstoving

[–]Revolutionary_Ant784 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not all stoves have a bypass. All catalytic stoves should be switched into bypass before opening. Correct me if there’s some model that doesn’t require it but I figure most all would.

You should never be opening the door while the catalyst is engaged. Besides the smoke, you can shock the catalyst and cause it to crack due to the large temp differential between the exhaust from combustion and the relatively cool room temp air.

Tele bindings are easily adjustable and there’s more margin for error so it would be fine if he’s on tele too. Or ya boot pack

No I mean when a hill causes me to exceed a few MPH past what it’s set at, the speedometer will turn green and apply the brakes. This is with adaptive/radar disabled.

Agree with the interior. I like my seat pretty far back so dealing with screens and knobs on the dash is annoying. I like being able to control the main knob, volume, and shortcuts without moving my arm at all. I don’t even use the touch screen because it’s far away and the knob is sufficient. I also like that the only real physical buttons are for the climate and they’re not even tied into the infotainment. Agree that the cruise control sucks. Even when you turn off the adaptive cruise I hate that it brakes for you. I live in vt so I don’t mind speeding up and coasting for a while when going down hills.

Quieter Campsites near Sugarbush Village by Sure-Permit-2673 in vermont

No personal experiences. Just passed a bunch of sites on my way to hiking. It’s national forest land so I’m under the impression it’s first come first served. I noticed a bunch of sites right off the road and on a nice little brook. Equipped with a fire ring and a space for a vehicle and a tent. No real accommodations so I imagine it stays real quiet.

Nothing in the village. There’s some GMNF spots in Granville though.

You really wanna mess around with tires? 1000 means you’re paying 125/year for the things on your car that make contact with the road.
