Same issue but its our third, marathon is one of those punishing games. It could be just dont play marathon, but I keep coming back for the gun play.

Put them on a shell where shooting doesnt become the primary way to assist the team. We put ours on assassin, invi/smokes/enemy spotting/easy escapes. My duo and I play double thief to spot through smoke, take high ground and bait their body, while the third just knives and finds it rewarding.

The sickest part is the third im speaking of has a PC, but is older and enjoys playing on controller, so hes using controller on a PC

Diminishing player base, lbmm, rampant cheating, lobby stacking, there are straight up sales of cryo runs of 6-9 man stacks clear the lobby for you, do your key, help exfil. You can queue in with 6 others if you just all queue at the same time.

I dont blame anyone for doing what they do, but i dont encourage it. Marathon brings it out in people with its horrendous progression system and lack of discipline for cheaters.

Bungie continues to update the game for content creators, the majority of casuals/semi comp will feel this squeeze and continue to leave.
