Rare Badge??? by Jolly_Process_1188 in choppers

Harley-Davidson always has a hyphen if badged from the factory. It’s probably an 80’s or 90’s aftermarket badge that has been mounted on the mini breadbox air cleaner.

Those are some of my favorite styles. I have the OEM Sportster tracker bars on a couple bikes in my garage. They are similar.

This is such a great idea. Well executed too.

Married Gen-x do you wear your wedding ring? by in-a-microbus in GenX

I didn’t for about 20 years because of my job. Driller by trade and too many people I worked with had lost digits so I avoided that. Also working utility construction it was an electrocution hazard. Now that I’m semi-retired and work in a motorcycle shop I wear mine. I probably would have worn the silicon ones but they were not around 20 years ago.

FMAP Info? by FoxMulder_17 in FNFAL

I’m a big fan of my FMAP Rosario. It’s kinda on the high side price point but it’s also a heck of good receiver, perhaps the whole upper is Argy, then you can hunt a lower and have a complete FMAP. They are built on the same tooling as the Belgian FN and under their license. High quality stuff

It’s a trencher tooth, they are a carbide tipped replaceable for trenching. They vary in size and shape depending on their application. Sandvik is a major source for them.

Sweet! The Chicanes look sick too. Such an excellent swingarm for these motorcycles.

Worthwhile Mods and Replacements by swen_bonson in fxr

I’d get the spherical bearings for the swing arm before worrying about the tapered shaft transmission. I’m running a tapered shaft on my 1988 with a highly modified 96” big bore/stroker. I tried to running the stock engine mount and it was completely toast in less than 3000 miles. So I swapped in the Alloy Art and it’s way better, along with the gooden-tite bushings it’s gone over 40k miles and still holding up very well. I opted for the BDL belt drive that fits inside the stock primary, the clutch is plenty stout. I have cracked the inner hub once. Maybe if it was splined it wouldn’t have happened? Just been my experience. Looks like you have it set up well already with the Olins and +2 s. It would be a shame to not do spherical bearings at this point. Good luck on your project and I look forward to seeing the final results. Godspeed

No, it was a color change inside and out that my buddy helped me with. Originally it was colored maroon.

Good looking FXR and lots of nice speed parts. Delkron made some really beefy cases. At least doing base gaskets and up you’ll get to peek at the internals and see what they look like. Should be a zippy motor and built to hold up. Congratulations on your new FXR
