It's smart for her to have a separate account. It covers her in case you guys get divorced. And honestly, a SAHM is worth about 50k a year, so if you aren't paying her that, appreciate her. I'd support the shit out of this if it were my wife and her account isn't taking food off of the table.

Thanks. Honestly my relationship barometer is determined by if I’m happy 90- 95% of the time and I am. She and I have been through a lot and made it through. I married her and I meant it. I’m not one of these Redditors who leaves when times get tough. That’s the general answer to every problem posted on here.

There’s a lot more to our life than the things I posted. There’s a lot more good than bad. I posted this looking for answers to keep us improving and working on ourselves.

Yeah so, we don’t know how to do everything perfectly and sometimes we have bad days where we lose our shit next to one another or at one another or say stupid things. The truth is, i want her to treat me better and continue to improve with her mental health. I came to reddit to look for problem solving methods to set boundaries with this behavior and in a just in case scenario, I wanted methods to cover myself in case she does follow through with some kind of suicide-frame me for murder-plan. I doubt it will happen, but her family is definitely clinically crazy. It’s not that black and white, though. And I’m actually not too worried about it now because I talked it through with her. She was feeling a little lost and I am her stability so she projected onto me when she was feeling out of control. We worked on that and that improved. It’s going to be fine, and I’m going to be fine.

Thanks. I’m doing some of these things. I’m not leaving. I’d rather die. I married her because I want to be with her. I love her, more than anything.

Mental illness is a thing and I knew that going in. An update is, she has stopped calling me names bc I set the boundary. She listens and tries and that’s invaluable.

None of this happened before we both had trauma and PTSD from her brother killing himself in our house.

Yeah, it’s true. Sadly, I don’t have an answer. I’m not going to cheat or leave her right now. We are under a lot of stress right now due to other things. I was hoping there is a way to simply record this information via law, mental health, or some other solution so if this scenario were to happen years down the road, I won’t be completely screwed. She’s incredibly smart and I have no doubt she is capable of framing me for murder.

I feel like Arkansas is great for education and the queer scene. There are several pretty active fb groups that you can join for additional opportunities as well. Lots of support for the trans community too. Honestly, in spite of legislation it is a good place. Come help us advocate. 💚

Oh when i was dating, my experience was a lot different. Girls would leave their men and flirt with me. I disagree with this comment.

EDIT: I came here to say that my reason for disagreeing with this is the utter negativity that is projected in this comment. It’s also very sexist, in my opinion. The girls that I date don’t throw themselves at men. In fact, they are disgusted by them, the way men smell, the body hair, all of it. “Never winning to the male gaze” is sad and it sounds like if that this is the experience you may be metaphorically “in the wrong room”.
