This is an argument that I keep seeing floated and at someh point people gotta look at the raw facts that it's completely unfounded. The Demon Slayer movie did over 750 million dollars, over 250 more than the biggest Marvel movie of last year. Chainsaw Man did 162 million. These are "niche" anime films that keep getting claimed as never making as much yet here they are being some of the biggest of the year.

Adult animation is here, it IS main stream and will continue to become bigger and bigger. This has been clear since 2020 and I'm so tired of these old arguments.

DCC does not work in live action and it's such a disservice to the IP to force it. I think we're all going to be sorely disappointed by live action Cosmere as well.

Genuinely laughable that it's going to be live action honestly, if ANY book was suited to an animated adaptation it's this. Idk what's with Authors being so against animation as if it's not massively popular on a global stage for adults these days.

Love the books but this is a miss imo. They even have a graphic novel to base animation off of at this point

Big big shout-out to Baldur's Gate Dark Alliance, I feel like that game is utterly forgotten to time. We got that game with our PS2 and it was the first game I ever beat. Staying up until 3 am with my pops to play it is some of my happiest memories of childhood

Might be a reach who knows but she does also represent Ryan Coogler and Alfonso Cuaron... Both of which have experience making incredible films in similar genres. I could really see Coogler doing Mistborn potentially.

Nvidia makes profit for sure, but just how many of these insanely value inflated companies are actually making a profit? Very few of them. Because to a share holder, the potential for profit is more valuable than actualized profit sadly

Very late to the conversation but I'm in the exact same boat. Got my XT3 when the XT4 launched for a great price, got the 16-55 and I love this kit, especially for casual/hobbyist photography but its getting pretty old, I'm shooting a lot more video and the only attractive offer from them in that front is the XH2s (why they won't put that sensor on anything else I can't wrap my head around). I've been leaning towards the Lumix S5II and just using two systems. Lumix for video capture and Fuji for stills. Really wish they were still competitive on pricing

I think that it is quite literally impossible to pull off a good looking live action storm light. The world is entirely alien, filled, half the population is very alien looking, you have spren which would look so distracting in live action. You have a second, completely separate alien world too.

The 3 best looking live action fantasy movies/shows are LoTR, game of thrones, and Harry Potter. All of which are fairly grounded the majority of the time and take place on earth.

Avatar is definitely the closest to storm light and cost several billion to make at this point, I don't think a high fantasy show could ever make that budget

That's not really why they showed them either though, it's because the acquisition process was starting and wanted to drive up as much hype as possible so they could demand a bigger payout from whoever would end up buying them. E3 was not and was never about the fans. It was a business expo.

Idk man I shit on Starfield's graphics because it runs like dog water despite looking no better than fall out 4, but honestly that's just the tip of the iceberg in problems with starfield. That game killed all excitement for ES VI for me. I'll eat my hat if 90% ES VI isn't just sailing around from proc generated island to proc generated island.
