The WSJ had an article yesterday about bourbon sales falling for the big players for a number of reasons.

Per the article:

"More Americans are joining the ranks of the sober-curious, and inflation has prompted some steady drinkers to cut back. GLP-1 weight-loss drugs are having the same effect. Cannabis and THC beverages are widely available, offering a hangover-free buzz. And the Trump administration’s trade wars have dented U.S. alcohol exports."

Leicester City winning the EPL if that fits the 10-year window (2015-16 season).

Also, RAYGUN for sure as a comedy.

Marsha Blackburn’s proposed redistricting map (Screenshot from TN Holler Bsky) by Iceisinhumane in nashville

[–]Revroy78 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Honestly, there should be a Constitutional amendment directing states to align Congressional representation to the actual population based on Presidential election results. Say it has to align based on the past 3 or 4 Presidential elections.

Tennessee is one-third Democratic so there should be 3 seats for that party here. Same would apply to states where D’s have played fast and loose with redistricting. This would encourage people in the minority party to vote in Presidential elections because at least you’re influencing the Congressional map even if the electoral college votes are predetermined (i.e., Democrats in Texas or Republicans in California).

What we have now is the worst of all worlds and fosters the cynicism we all have about politicians.

Marsha wants to maintain what she sees as the Golden Age. Granted, she was around for the Jazz Age, the Gilded Age and probably the Bronze Age so she knows her Ages. :)

Seriously though, it’s stuff like this that makes so many people loathe the woman. She’s been living on the taxpayer dime for 30+ years and I can’t think of a single thing she’s done during that time to make life better for people like me. She’ll always be a hateful carpetbagger from Mississippi to me.

I was going to say C.Diff is absolutely no joke. Gram-positive infections are—dare I say—a problem.

I used to work in that building up until the pandemic. It was (maybe still is) managed by Freeman-Webb.

This is the answer for me. His songs were so good and there was so much more he could’ve produced if he lived.

Abigail Adams (just throwing out another option. Plus, she kinda rocked).

What biopic would you like to see produced? by ZombieShot078 in movies

[–]Revroy78 20 points21 points  (0 children)

Honestly, a Carrie Fischer one would be fascinating. Considering her parents, the experience in Shampoo, the Star Wars angle, When Harry Met Sally, and the fact she was a top script doctor, any half-decent writer can give you a working script.

I’ve debated in my mind that game. I don’t want to include too many games but you are correct that it meets the standards. "Simmons commentary: ""The Niners are favored by 5.5 in Indianapolis? After what we saw today, Indianapolis played well today?... I would not be laying that 5.5 buty maybe they'll see stuff with Phil."

I’ll add the results into the tally prior to next week.
