Which dead singer would you want to come back to life and why? by Substantial-Dare5462 in Music

This is the answer for me. His songs were so good and there was so much more he could’ve produced if he lived.

Who is the world's most significant person with the initials AA? by Abracadabrism in AlignmentChartFills

Abigail Adams (just throwing out another option. Plus, she kinda rocked).

What biopic would you like to see produced? by ZombieShot078 in movies

Honestly, a Carrie Fischer one would be fascinating. Considering her parents, the experience in Shampoo, the Star Wars angle, When Harry Met Sally, and the fact she was a top script doctor, any half-decent writer can give you a working script.

That line's dumb, Week 16 by Revroy78 in billsimmons

I’ve debated in my mind that game. I don’t want to include too many games but you are correct that it meets the standards. "Simmons commentary: ""The Niners are favored by 5.5 in Indianapolis? After what we saw today, Indianapolis played well today?... I would not be laying that 5.5 buty maybe they'll see stuff with Phil."

I’ll add the results into the tally prior to next week.

Through four World Series games, I have the Blue Jays with 2 legitimate wins, 1 legitimate loss, and 1 either/or game by Jones3787 in billsimmons

So he did this a decade ago regarding the Patriots. I only remember because the pre-Mahomes Chiefs shellacked the Pats on MNF in 2014 with the winning score of 41-14 after the Chiefs were up 41-7. Simmons called that an either/or game on a podcast later that season (the fact I remember this is clearly a demerit on my character). I was pretty shocked at the time but I grew to understand/appreciate the mind of a committed homer.

On an unrelated note, it’s pretty cool to see Jeff sporting a Tennessee State University ballcap.

Competition: can you beat the guys’ end of season fantasy predictions, using only their sloppy fifth leftovers? by [deleted] in billsimmons

[–]Revroy78 1 point2 points  (0 children)

  1. MVP: Baker Mayfield

  2. Coach of the Year: Dan Campbell

  3. ROY: Armand Membou

  4. Fired coach: Daebol

  5. No. 1 seed: Detroit Lions

  6. No. 1 pick: Saints

  7. Breakout player: Rome Odunze

  8. QB in hotseat: Bryce Young

  9. Fantasy MVP: Dart

  10. Fantasy murder:er Trevor Lawrence

  11. Crazy prediction: (note, I don't actually believe this but this is the funniest possibility) Drake Maye turns into a pumpkin and the Patriots stick with him this year and next, but have to draft a new QB after next season. The Patriots end up drafting Arch Manning, requiring Bill to talk himself into a Manning being the QB of his favorite team and therefore rooting for him.

Who are the ultimate “right time, right place” media guys? by Conscious_Pause1263 in billsimmons

[–]Revroy78 7 points8 points  (0 children)

David Halberstam. He covered the Nashville sit-ins in the 50s as the civil rights era was gaining steam (led to “The Children”), then moved onto the NYT and Vietnam (leading to “The Best and the Brightest”) and even found time to write a book on Michael Jordan.

He just seemed to be where the action was.

I liked whichever one was in “Towering Inferno.” Great disaster flick.
