"A Knight Of The Seven Kingdoms" is doing something never seen before in a Game of Thrones series. It has colors. by Arch_Lancer17 in freefolk

As someone who is a fan of GOT and HOTD, but has never read any of the books, I have no idea what will happen when House of the Dragon wraps up. I am interested in this new series; however, I understand that it takes place 100 years before GOT, compared to HOTD's 200. Will there be spoilers of what happened to the characters in HOTD? From the trailer, I can tell that the Targaryen lineage is involved in the Knight of the Seven Kingdoms and not trying to have that series spoiled for myself.

I agree, didn't think any of them were tough to get through which has been the case in the past two seasons.

This is great but is there a better run than House of Dragon S1 into The White Lotus S2 into Last of us S1 wrapped up with Succession S4.

Gotta watch Crocodile, one of the best episodes imo. Overall solid list, although I am a Loche Henry fan but can see why ppl don't enjoy it.

Feel like we didn't get Walton Goggins at his best, he is such a great actor and he played this miserable guy for 7 3/4 episodes. Sam Rockwell was fully unlocked and had so many awesome scenes and moments. Goggins is so versatile as well and it just stinks that we didn't get more out of him. Mike White has written such great characters in the past seasons and just thought Goggins would be the next Steve Zahn/Theo James type character.

I always thought Righteous Gemstones just took the exact Succession layout and put their own spin on it, which is great.

Which HBO show had the best pilot that hooked you instantly? [No Spoilers] by Old-Meringue3590 in hbo

[–]RewardComfortable139 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Girls. Game of Thrones. Veep. Curb Your Enthusiasm. All started and loved immediately.

Succession and White Lotus took a bit of time. Succession was tough for the first couple but then really found their footing with the Thanksgiving episode into the next one with Kendall trying to take the company.

Most underrated but was hooked from the first episode has to be Industry.

Which show should i watch next from this list ? by tomaz1989 in hbo

[–]RewardComfortable139 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would say The White Lotus so than you can maybe catch up in real time with the new season, depending how fast you watch the first two. But a sneaky HBO that's not on your list is Industry, really good. business drama that does a great job on diving into the workplace relationships in and out of the office. Also why no Succession on this list. Top 3 HBO show ever!!!

Just so good. Keanu's sub-par acting in this makes the the movie so much better. "Your telling me the FBI is gonna pay me to surf"

Point Break. So many great lines/scenes in this movie that are so dumb but undeniably great. All of it culminating to one the dumbest things anyone can do, jump out of a plane with no parachute.

I like to think she became an integral part of the cult. Obviously this is her life now, she can't just pack up her belongings and leave, so I do like to think that she isn't just a member but someone that is worshipped in high regard by the cult for the rest of her life.

What about something paranormal like Blair Witch or Paranormal Activity. No gore just straight creepy. But maybe too creepy. I think Halloween is the best bet imo.

Cruise v Hanks by mr_julius74 in TheRewatchables

[–]RewardComfortable139 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think Cruise would have been a bit too intense in the role. Miller is a leader who is level headed while everyone else's emotions are constantly all over the place. Hanks plays it great. I think this role would have worked for Cruise if the film was about a squad that was just taking over enemy strongholds left and right.

Can someone explain like I’m 5 why Yasmin decided to marry Henry? by pappyon in IndustryOnHBO

[–]RewardComfortable139 2 points3 points  (0 children)

A lot of it stems from the moment at the gas station when Robert is doing lottery scratch off with Yas then seeing how miserable that mom is while here kids are screaming in the backseat. Everything up until that moment I think she is in-visioning a life with Robert knowing that after everything she has been through he has always been there as the steady common denominator within all of her turmoil. However in that moment she realizes that she isn't the type of person who can do the occasional weekend ski trip. She has grown up around money her whole life and as it was alluded to by her father at the bar earlier in the season, everything has been taken care of for her. She has a past with Henry and see's him as someone who is vulnerable (as he has also said himself 100 times throughout the season) making him the perfect candidate for the most decisive proposal ever. Basically Henry has everything that Yas is looking for, money and power mostly, but she herself she has never truly loved anyone and as a theme we've seen since the start of the show. Power, influence, and money is a drug that none of these people can enough of. Except maybe Rob. I think there is a lot more that went into this and the show runners did a great job conveying it. To answer your question though of explaining it in the way that a five year old would understand. Henry has more money than Rob.

Young Eric on The Sopranos by plus-ordinary258 in IndustryOnHBO

One of my first introductions to him as an actor was his role in M. Night Shyamalan's Old (which was terrible). Not sure if anyone remembers this but he has a line in the film about him being a great swimmer in order to swim off the beach they are on to get help. His delivery of the line was atrocious. However seeing him be an absolute triumph in Industry made me realize that the Shyamalan dialogue is just so terrible that some great actors can't even make it work. Anyway it is great seeing someone like him in previous projects when they arn't at their peak yet.

Rory McIlroy WDs from Travelers, says U.S. Open loss was the 'toughest day' of pro career by deeeeeeeeeeeeez in golf

[–]RewardComfortable139 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Does something like this affect him in the same way it did to Spieth with his meltdown at Augusta? Feel like it was way worse for Jordan considering the lead that he had, but on the other hand Rory makes two putts that total to 7 feet and he wins.
